The age of folks there (myself included), it was more a whiff of deep heat, TCP and piss

It turned out to be a very enjoyable day and the company was good. I bumped into folk I hadn't seen for years and we had a good laugh. We went some bumpy back roads and the H1 was well out of shape at times,I was glad to see the smoother tarmac. Still the old girl held up well and I got to leave plenty of smoke trails.
JOOC - where/what was the bike meet? Sounds interesting, pity I missed it! Up at Benone at the mo, if you fancy a spin…

The run finished up at Carnlough. The harbour is a magnet for bikes on a good day.
I may get a chance to be up that general direction early tomorrow, but being definite is difficult as I have family arriving towards the end of the week and I may be called for duties.

Excellent ride today up to Heybridge, play around the reservoir and back. Not much traffic and back before it got too hot
Old Road into Maldon, really nice S bends and a good view. I bloody love this bike

Killin for lunch.
A nice 210 or so miles in decent weather, up to 27 degrees on the way home which was a bit warm.
Loving the R but I’m still not impressed with the seats even after having them redone. The Mrs especially is complaining that 100 miles is just about her limit in one go which is a pity as it discounts it for long distance stuff.
I really must remember to take pictures when I’m out and about.

There's not to wave at on the road up to the Dyke. I live just south of the Dyke roundabout. I'll wave next time.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 8:01 pmShould have given me a wave !Trinity765 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 7:44 pm Raced up to Devils Dyke on my way home to get a pic of the sun setting and just missed it. Lovely run into work this morning with the mist settling just around the level of the tree line around the fields

Did my last Tuesday evening bike club run of the year I think.
The low sun at the start is such you can’t see a damn thing and it’s getting dark by half seven so it’s just not worth it anymore.
Which is a shame as they are fun.

Saturday afternoon bimble with 2 pubs.
Really enjoying the RE. B road bimbling at it's best.
50/60 ish , taking the corners as quick as the straights, that's where the fun is.
Out to Ellesmere by the lake, Cross foxes at Overton by the river and my favourite, the Shroppie fly at Audlem by the canal.
On way home doing 60, thought I'd give it full twist lots more there, I reckon it's good for 80, I do worry about explosions though.
