Just finished booking the flights and accommodation for our trip to SE Asia at the end of December.

Saigon -> Siem Reap (Cambodia) -> Phuket -> Singapore.

Me, Mrs. G and another couple. Should be fun.

Today I did a bit of shopping, then visited a home to do a prayer to tell something/one to head home and leave them in peace. Back home, lunch, sort out some service stuff and work on Sermon for Sunday. Had a meeting about achieving NetZero for my churches, lots of work to do around that and an energy audit that is necessary to see what actions can be taken to reduce our carbon footprint (with a 13C church nigh on impossible). Cook dinner for tonight and get ready for a meeting tomorrow morning. Not much else happening on the Western front at least.

Waiting in departures for our flight to Auckland. 3 weeks on North Island. We were there several years ago, twice, on bike trips with VFR NZ, now sadly closed. Brilliant on a bike, but Mrs W has hip problems and can’t get on/off any more which is a great shame. Still looking forward to it tho a car won’t be the same.

There again, as you can't use an engrish one in Wales, and maybe vice versa, it ain't gonna be much use in the land of the not very free.

Mate of mine went over last year, hired a motorhome for 6 weeks. A mobile hotel in lovely surroundings. 👍

We didn’t want to do it in a motorhome. One of the most enjoyable bits of our previous trips was staying in random bnb’s, meeting with local people who were SO friendly and hospitable - eating with them, sometimes joining in their social stuff, lending us their cars so we didn’t have to do all our sightseeing in bikey gear etc. Special. In a MH, the only people you actually meet are the holidaymakers in the next MH. No comparison. And MHs aren’t a cheap option.

I'd never thought of it that way. I'd always loved campers.

Won the lotto!

Unfortunately not the £8m.

Four numbers, £140.

Might blow some of it trying to win the £140m plus Euros.

This week took 3 folk out in the mighty Duster for 4wd adventure.

First was a sort of pal who asked me to take him out. Did amazing 4 hours.
He bought me lunch. €6. Then 2 beers in town €3.
As he left he said it was an amazing day and was chuffed he'd chipped in so much.
I said it cost me €10 in diesel.
I was pissed off coz he asked me. I worked for 4 hours.
Couple of texts were exchanged then he put €10 behind the bar.

Yesterday took out the new neighbour from over the road. Just bought the huge place with tennis court.
We hit it off straight away but he's been busy doing the place up.
I wanted us to get to know each other so was perfect chance.
He was amazed where I took him and he bought us a lovely lunch.
Didn't want any money as it was my invite.

Today took a very dear friend out. In last month she'd lost her dog, broke her ankle and split up with b/f.
Was a more gentle tour coz she just needed pampering.
Bought her a lovely tapas lunch up in the hills
Then a couple more beers here after.
She was so chuffed just to have someone spoil her.
We had a few innocent hugs.

Same trip. 3 very different outings.

I love it :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Just finishing the last of 14 online learning modules for the new role, most of it is industry standard stuff so just a case of reading / watching and multiple choice responses. The company specific stuff takes a bit more grey matter in order to navigate the policies to get the correct answer.

Just settling in for a 6hour stint on the sofa watching a bicycle race. Its a long one for sure and only likely to be the last hour where it escalates.
