Car companies do plenty of stupid stuff though, I grant you :D
Many are guilty of fashion over function. I just hoped LR wouldn't be. I think it'd have been the death knell for the company if they had though.
When BMW owned Range Rover they were all set to make the (then) new RR a rebodied version of the X5 (which itself is based off the M5 platform believe it or not!). RR fought tooth and nail to maintain 'proper' off road performance for the RR, arguing it's central to the brand....even the giant German monolith could see that, hence why the RR still maintained true off road features.

I dunno, have a look in the motorcycle section, I've just been moaning that my 87yr old 500c single makes better power and weighs about 50kg less than a brand new 2023 bike.

God no, what a load of pointless bling. The only thing on that affecting performance are those roof rails which mean it won't fit under a 2m height barrier.

Sadly, I like it.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Do you fancy a money pit?

No?

How about a money pit which is a ball ache at car park barriers and which is inexplicably slow given the size of engine? Step right up!

£30 a ticket but a £200k prize, or a load of farm machinery!

Every time I see one of these my first thought is Ferris Bueller's Day Off...and shortly afterwards the poor performance.

Not my thing, but thats an interesting win for 49p!

WIN BOTH RALLY LEGENDS #2
FOR JUST 49P

They’re back! The previous winner took the cash and you all wanted another chance to get the keys, so we’ve put this pair of rally legends straight back up again on another ultra-short 48hr competition! Don’t miss your final chance to win BOTH these iconic rally legends this Wednesday for an insanely cheap 49p! If you’re the lucky winner of this competition you get both the ultra-rare Subaru Impreza STI WRX V5 Type RA as well as the stunning Mitsubishi Evo 6 GSR! If you don’t fancy taking the cars there’s a £15,000 cash alternative option instead.

Nowhere to park 'em ;)

Come to think of it, I doubt that purple is a legit Mitsubishi colour? Probably knocks it quite a bit if so, a stock Evo VI is a proper modern classic now, but if it ain't stock....

I've been in both. My mate had a Subaru and I can only liken the experience to being sat in a oil drum and rolled down a mountain, it was that quick, loud and uncomfortable.
