I filled the tank on mine in mid-March. Started WfHome the next day. Still a couple of hundred miles worth left.Deer Stalker wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 8:10 am Two months back I got a new car (BMW330e), I’ve done 200 miles since then

Dealer resets it...so you could always lie.
Mine even knows when you need an MOT. Which is fine, except you have to get the MOT done by someone with a BMW service computer otherwise it will be forever telling you it needs a vehicle inspection!

I've just been to look at a Smart FourTwo, they're quite roomy, however theres no height adjustment on the seat or steering wheel, you have to be a very specific shape to drive one comfortably, neither of us are that shape.
It was parked next to a Fiat 500c. Guess what she wants to buy now?

We’ve used my convertible a lot this summer and my wife is now saying she’d like a convertible Mini when we change her Cooper. Well, we don’t need two convertibles, so my emerging plan is to get her a convertible Mini and sell my BMW and get a small camper van. Hmmmm....

I drive JCW Mini Coupe, it's not much bigger... But a lot faster.Harry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 12:49 pmMy daughter was very happy with hers, but every time I went out in it with her I shat myself because it feels like you're the smallest thing on the planet and everything else is going to run over you.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 11:38 am

A friend of mine had a 500 Abarth which was indecently quick. The 180bhp 1.4 535 Abarth has similar 0-60 times as my JCW, a smidge over 6 seconds.
The 1.2 500c I looked at for the wife today is 12.6 to 60mph

Re: Show us your cars ?
I have around 8 cars at the moment, roughly...haven't counted for a bit, and don't really like to as then I can be nice and vague with SWMBO.
Normal driver is either this: or the black one that 'replaced it' when I sell it, hopefully in the next couple of weeks now.
or: which is really SWMBO's car, although she's driving the CRV that was bought to replace the Qashcow that the Tigger was bought to replace.
or the VW EOS, which I rather like, even though it drives like a Golf, only not quite as much IYSWIM.
Still wanting to get this back on the road, but at least it isn't really losing money sitting around: There are quite a few more, so maybe more than 8.

I quite like mine. Roomier than you'd think inside and fine on the motorway.Harry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 12:49 pmMy daughter was very happy with hers, but every time I went out in it with her I shat myself because it feels like you're the smallest thing on the planet and everything else is going to run over you.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 11:38 am

She's insisting on an auto and the dualogic ones are rare in normal 500 spec, never mind C.

Re: Show us your cars ?
So she ended up with an Aygo!
The JBL Special Edition one (cos she wanted an auto and there's bugger all in the country except the JBLs). She wanted the Funroof too, but that's a factory order and wouldn't land until Christmas.
0% PCP.
I've got the cash to buy it outright, but the PCP makes more sense at 0% and £196 a month, the cash can stay in the Premium Bonds a bit longer.
I'll probably end up buying it at the end of the lease for £4k.

Re: Show us your cars ?
Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.

Re: Show us your cars ?
Got a good £2k off the list price, only put down a grand deposit the dealer added £500. They chucked in some gap insurance and all the other paint protection crap, the repayments are £196 a month for 8,000 miles a year (she's probably going to do nearer 6k).Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:43 pm Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.
I even got them to agree to do the first service for free.
After four years I'll need just over £4k to buy it.... or they reckon about the 3.5 year mark they'll offer to take it back and give me a new one if I keep paying.

Re: Show us your cars ?
I'm in the market for a new van and there doesn't seem to be any deals at all. I don't need it until next May but I'm planning for a 20% price increase on January the first so need to get it bought, I've got storage arranged. 20% on the price of new Crafter is a lot of money.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:43 pm Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.
