I 90% approve, but you'll need a Akra to get 100%! ;)

In some ways you're not wrong, but they redesigned the internals on the later Cat so it now sounds better. So any can fitted is purely for aesthetic reasons and an Akra is £500+
I can't justify it for looks only. If one comes up used, then maybe.

Yeah without doubt, bit it's not like jumping off a Harley onto a gsxr, it's a small bit smoother but retains the feeling of still being a single.

That's part of its appeal, it feels 'proper' to me, although I accept I'm in a minority here.

When I bought it, I got it brand new and was the last 690 Duke in the UK. They won't make any more, ever ever again. So to me I feel like by using and keeping mine, I'm keeping the spirit of what I love in bikes alive. If I could afford it, I'd buy the best example I could find and mothball it. I really do feel that passionate about the 690 Duke.

The bigger Leo works for me. Those smaller ones look like those cut down cans crappy old streefighters used to have.

Price/photos/details please :)

The large Leo looks bang on imo, I tried a Leo Vince on my 701 but didn’t like the sound though.

Fat Jack wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 8:03 am I see in the other thread you have the SD, mines SA. It seems Gorazd has updated his website, the old thing was hideous to navigate. Current price for yours is €540 https://wings-exhausts.com/exhausts-eu/ ... -sd-gt-eu/

Wings have a long history in the KTM world, very happy with mine, and he's a gent to deal with.
Yeah, assume the exhausts are identical?

Actually not heard of Wings but had a google around last night and seem good. When I first got the bike I did look around a bit at changing the exhaust but there seemed to be a minefield of info about remapping, de-catting and a million other complexities and I got bored and stopped looking.

Did you do a simple replacement? And you reckon it was worth it?

They're very popular cans yes... Partly because they're well built and partly i think because of the lack of options available too.

Overall though, i've not know anyone who's bought them to be unhappy with them.

Not sure you’ve EVER kept a bike long enough to call it a “keeper”

Fat Jack wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:09 am The cans are probably similar but with a different link pipe. Replacement is straightforward if you're just replacing the end can. The only reason I replaced it was weight and heat. The oem can weighs a ton and get stupidly hot. I do a lot of two up touring so dropping weight from the can allows the wife to take extra.. actually no idea what the fuck she takes that fills two panniers and a top box :D

I also like the fact it looks similar to oem, i'll take a picture later. If you don't want the Wings badge just ask him to not fit it when you order. If I recall he send it separately along with a bunch of stickers and a tshirt.
Cool, cheers.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of big ugly logos, often messes up the clean look of a nice aftermarket pipe.
