Moto GP, Austria 2... MArtin again ?
What's the thoughts then ? No real reason Martin can't carry on his run ? Zarco to find more ? Miller to stay upright ?
Yamaha ... well they're a bit lost aren't they... Cal and Rossi propping up the back, Quat a little off the pace... WTF are they going to do.
Mir and Rins, well, not exactly setting the world on fire...
It's a very very weird couple of seasons.

Re: Moto GP, Austria 2... MArtin again ?
LOL i wish they'd stop talking about Dixon getting the MotoGP bike... now it's him getting it for Silverstone... Why the heck would Yamaha put Dixon on the factory Yamaha.
Speaking of the Yamaha, apparently Vinales last 2 laps were 5s per lap off the pace, but using max throttle rpm.

I think he'll be in the mix but I don't think Martin will do it again this weekend- I'm backing Quartararo or Mir for the win, with at least one of the KTMs to be on the podium

Well, Martin looks like he is hungry for another win and able to back it up. Fabio is there to upset and Bagnaia and Zarco are definitely in the mix. Marquez is close enough to trouble them if his race pace and arm can hold out. Binder's race pace and late charge might cause excitements.

Re: Moto GP, Austria 2... MArtin again ?
Have you seen the video onboard , he bangs the bike off the rev limiter twice when no need for it while cruising in, once in the pit entry ........... that was after the last 2 laps where he ran it in a gear off top right up near the limiter hence 5 secs slower.
It was almost as if he was trying to fuck the engine to explain his poor performance and completely forgot about data logging and on board cameras

Well moto3 was as it always is, awesome.
Decent result for McPhee with a 7th and ahead of his team mate. But the battle at the front was where it's at. Awesome stuff with lots of overtakes

Well, seems I got the mix more or less right.... I'll take the Fantasy Points happily enough.the_priest wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 5:16 pm Well, Martin looks like he is hungry for another win and able to back it up. Good race as the weather threw in a load of additional problems to deal with ....... roll the dice on tyres and see what comes out with your gamble. Wont spoil it for those waiting for the ITV4 highlights

Re: Moto GP, Austria 2... MArtin again ?
Speaking after the race, Binder said: "I went to bed last night thinking all I want today is a podium. It’s been so long! It’s been the longest (stretch of time) in I don’t know how many years since I was on the podium.
"I’ve been close a few times, had a few fourth places, but haven’t been back. To be honest, I was having a horrendous race before I decided to stay out and everyone else came in.
"The rear tyre was like nothing I’ve had all weekend. Everytime I tried braking it would just slide everywhere. I’d open the throttle and just wouldn’t go forward.
"I was having a huge struggle out there, but when I saw it starting to rain I closed up onto the front group and was thinking there’s just four laps to go. I could see the guys getting ready to go in, because I saw Marc [Marquez] look behind him and I couldn’t decide whether I should go or not.
"I just decided in the last moment when I saw the group pull in to the pits to just try. The first lap was good, but the last two were something else.
"The last lap the brakes went completely cold and so did the tyres. I really struggled to stay on track. But anyway, sometimes you have to take the gamble and today it worked. I’m super happy about that."
The win for Binder is his second ever in the premier class following his maiden victory at Brno last season.
Binder joked about using the advice of his brother Darryn who had previously said he was ‘impressed’ with how much grip the dry tyres had in the wet, when debating whether to pit or not.
Binder said: "I remember my brother (Darryn Binder) telling me that he was impressed with how much grip there was in the wet with slicks, so I think that had something to do with it [laughs].
"But you know what, I would happily have crashed giving it a go. At the end of the day I’m really happy to be here right now."
