Riding bikes outside of top level sport?

Post by weeksy »

Here's one I was just pondering.

Do riders / racers who retire carry on riding? If so, I wonder what they ride?

Does Bayliss ride a 996 rep of his old bike? Can Kenny Roberts junior be found riding one of his dad's old bikes?

Obviously there's riders like McWilliams who's a KTM tester or Guinters who tests Suzuki's, but I'd be really curious as to who rides roads, or rocks up at a trackday with mates etc

Foggy used to go trail riding and did a few enduros, I think he's more into ebikes these days.

I've been at Classic Bike Track days were Guy Martin was riding, I helped him get the wheel back in the BSA he was riding.

Steve Parrish (not exactly top level) sometimes does Classic Bike events in his Fz750 and we talked Terry Rymer into going out on his once (it didn't take much)
