It just about fits on the drive. What a ridiculous thing. I love it.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Doctors appointment... another waste of my fucking time as he talks over you & then buggers off before you've told him even half of what you needed him to take care of/look at/diagnose etc.
He did take the time to suggest he give me prescriptions for shit he's already been prescribing for the past 16 months... & suggested I take a drug that I've fucking told him I'm deathly allergic to every goddamn time I've seen him. "Oh, you're allergic to that? we won't give you that then"
Yes you dozy twat, remember how I ended up in the fucking ER a few months ago & almost carked it?

I’m primary Carer for my step mother and I Can’t believe I’ve coordinated the podiatrist, care review, physiotherapist handover and the electrician all on the same day and they’ve all turned up as expected!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Made another appointment for Sydney, my six year old Border Collie. We were out running a few weeks a go and she took a bit of a pratt-fall tumble, all four legs up in the air sliding into a tree. She jumped straight up and carried on, like any BC would, but the next day I noticed she was limping, favouring her right foreleg. Gave it a couple of days but still limping, though no other sign of discomfort, even when I was manipulating the joints manually.
Booked her into the vet, who more or less did the same thing and then prescribed Metacam (so surprises there) and lead walks for a week. That was about two weeks ago and the limp comes and goes, like a Welshman who's been living on DLA for years, despite all lead walks and no running, ball play etc.
Also noticed a hesitancy to come on walks a couple of times, but I suspect that may be the heat more than anything. Hoping it's nothing more serious.

Same, went to Sywell Aerodrome where they have 3 Warbirds with twin seats. Watched 2 of them take off, also an aerobatics team are based there so watched them fly away to practice.
Riding home it was 30.5 degrees, got stuck in traffic round Northampton so melted!!
Now sat in front of a fan naked.

Bude to Scarfolk-On-Sea today on the bike. The A303 was its usual stop-go-stop self and the M27 roadworks are 50mph concrete road purgatory. Toasty warm but managed 266miles in 5hrs 15mins in two stints (managed 150 miles to a tank with the "lie like a cheap whore" range meter saying I had 20 miles left in the tank).

Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a pastoral visit this morning where I sorted out some IT issues for an elderly lady on her new laptop and hooked up her fancy label printer so she does not have to write out addresses. Saves her fingers.
Met up with my brother for a pint and a pub meal, then showed him the Church live stream system we use with OBS Studio and our camera setup. He wants similar for two Churches and can do it on a tight budget.
Back home to setup another pastoral visit with Holy Communion for a frail parishioner and then read all the mortgage and exchange of contracts stuff from the solictor, and the extra things we need to do with regards to the property. Meh.
Collected wife from school, made her an iced coffee and now leaving her to rest in the cool lounge while I get ready for an evening Deanery Chapter meeting. Finished after 10pm with our first face to face meeting in Church last night, so hoping this Zoom meeting is shorter!!!
Weekend is beckoning, but it is my busiest time!!

That's just not funny. I'd be living in the freezer. Too hot for living.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a busy day!! Mostly cooking!!
Up early to make a birthday cake. Whilst it was cooking and cooling I did some prep for an evening meal
Delivered birthday cake and had lunch there
Met a friend on the bus home so stipped for a chat
Came home and made -
Beef and Veg in Oyster Sauce
Lemon & Honey Chicken
Chicken Satay
Egg Fried Rice
'Seaweed' (fried green leaves!)
Prawn Crackers
Two friends came up from one of the lower villages to eat with me. First time I've cooked for people here since I've had seating for more than 2!! LOL Good fun and they raved about the food - mostly as they are working and living in a UCPA Hostel (they are teachers) and so get institution food every day!! LOL
Now I'm a bit tired and need to go to sleep so I can get up early and do my French homework that I should have done yesterday!! LOL

Kinda glad I fixed the AC in the car, especially as the drivers window is jammed shut.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Similar temperatures here (every July and August, not just this year). I put the living room AC on for 10 minutes the other day to see if it was working but haven't needed it for real yet and probably won't use it. It was a waste of money to be honest. We installed 3 units back in 2006 and then hardly ever used them - the wife would now and again and maybe when we had visitors. I may put the bedroom AC on for 10 or 15 minutes if it's really humid so I can get to sleep but I usually go and lay in the pool for 10 minutes and then go back to bed. I've never had the AC units serviced.
I like the heat, it was one of the reasons I came here. I'm not going to moan about it.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I'm at 2000m so very unused to temperatures like this!! In the valley it's a bit mad and way too hot for me, but up here it's usually cooler!!!
