MotoGP looking good but what has happened to boss-man's idea of 3 weekends on the trot with WSB being the third weekend.

Let's face it, WSB is where Brits can watch with a bit of pride, expecting Brits at the front. I wonder if we have dominated it too much so Johnny Foreigner is not supporting it in terms of viewing numbers.

I want to see Scot Redding repeat his BSB success.

You don't have pride in seeing Crutchlow ?

No.

He has his days but he's no champion. He doesn't finish enough races.

Tough crowd. Only one person can win a championship, none of the others matter then?

History remembers the winners.

When it comes to bike racing, we often hear "since Barry Sheen" and of course Mike Hailwood.

Stirling Moss was always "the best driver never to win the world championship". I'll bet that title bugged him all his life. That and "did Fangio let me win the Brit GP ?".

Wonderfully entertaining. I remember seeing his kids tearing round the paddock somewhere.

Very sad at the end of his career, he went from wonderfully entertaining for over 10 years to "what's happened to Haga".

Seen as cold, hard documented facts, yes the winners are remembered and rightly so,because, well they beat the other competitors to championships.

But for most of us (spectators) there is much more to the pleasure of watching racing than reading the stat sheets.

If it wasn't for the other competitors busting their nuts and giving their best, watching racing would be a poor show and ultimately devalue the achievements of championship winners.

I may be odd in how I watch racing,I don't do the tribal football thing of 'supporting' any particular rider or team,I want to see a close, hard race and may the best man win. So my perhaps laboured point is,in MotoGp we are mostly watching the best of the best at the top of their game and it takes all of the riders on the grid to make the spectacle great to watch.

Won less than Cal. Why is he worthy but Cal who's beaten the best in MotoGP is not?

Don't let us get this out of context, I said "Let's face it, WSB is where Brits can watch with a bit of pride, expecting Brits at the front."

It's @weeksy who wants a bit of sport and tossed in Cal. I had not said a word against Cal.

Well if you take into account his Supersport wins, along with wsb and MotoGP

Cal has 3 MotoGP wins, 5 in wsb and 5 in won 2 championships. Along with 3 wins in BSB too

Haga had 22 races in GP, no wins, 1 podium. He had 26 races I. BSB, no wins, 1 podium.
Wsb he had 43 wins, out of 312 races

No championship.

Cal has been up against the greatest MotoGP riders of the last 30+ years in Marquez and Rossi.

I'm stunned how little credit you're giving him

By saying that, you're saying there's no pride watching Crutchlow.

AND, welcome to my world ...............since the forum started you MAY have noticed that Brian seems to have a completely different view on racing to the rest of us and our posts and views on riders ...... i gave up trying to question it and explore it , you seem to have approached that point in the last couple of posts on this thread :D

I've already admitted that.

He's a likeable rogue sort of person, wears his heart on his sleeve, says things he shouldn't, I like that.

But when it comes to racing what sticks in my mind is "Oh not again Cal" as he falls off again with good points on offer. It's so sad.
