Green Laning !😜
Re: Green Laning !😜
Tends to be my ‘ex road’ textiles getting recycled as off road gear for me ! Agree with the comments about staying warm and, hopefully, dry ! During the warmer months I still use old textile trousers but use a force field soft armour shirt with either a lightweight textile jacket, or just a lightweight fleece during the summer. I tend to use old motocross boots during the spring/summer/autumn....they’re more protective than adventure boots and aren’t waterproof....meaning the water can drain out after deep water crossings !?...I’m always torn between trying to keep my feet dry or, accepting that they’re gonna get wet but at least the water can get back out again !!??

Can't find earlier thread but bought small fender bag for crf from mx24. As someone said, they move about a bit so wingnuts ordered. Half nuts under plate to keep bolts in place. Now much better fix and easily removed.
Can you spot why they were half price.?

If I fit one of them, I couldn't get my boot over the seat.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 3:50 pm Can't find earlier thread but bought small fender bag for crf from mx24. As someone said, they move about a bit so wingnuts ordered. Now much better fix and easily removed.

Not too bad on this, its only 4/5 inch high. On my tracer, the held tail bag is a bit of a leg kick, rather than a swing, kung foo style. Quite a bit higher bag.

Maiden proper ride today absolutely loved it. Didn't drop but came very close a few times, big ruts and when you're in one you're stuck in it. Very dry and dusty. Need goggles with my contact lens.
Lad on a husky only gets 40 miles to a tank but wasn't an issue with fuel never too far away. Finished off with a cold cider in Bishops Castle.

Thinking about a new Honda CRF300 now my Tenere has issues , second hand offroader prices seem to have gone mental recently, might take a ride to Maidstone Honda tomorrow to see if they have a demo available.
Re: Green Laning !😜
I went trail riding for the first time last week and had loads of fun. Currently in the market for an enduro bike as may also do some H&H type events to keep me sharp for mountain bike racing.

OH is selling her 250L
Dec 2019,1400 miles, 1 owner with a couple extras.
Few scratches but all genuine
Re: Green Laning !😜
Did you go?. Apparently if you order one now you won't get it until November though!?
I'm desperate to have a go on one to see if it'll be enough power to have as an only bike.
Re: Green Laning !😜
Around Llangollen and Lake Vrnywy with RM Trail Riding, the weather was cracking which helped. I was on a KTM 250 EXC and looking to buy something similar. I'm lucky enough to live close enough to the Llangollen trails that I can ride to them in 30 mins or so.

I’ll pop down there tomorrow, like you I need to know if it has enough go go.
Can’t wait till November I’ll have changed my mind 15 times by then
Re: Green Laning !😜
I'm the same pal! I do constant cycles around my mind What about one of them? Nah, too heavy,, one of them? Nah not enough power , too road focused, too off road focused etc, etc, etc.
