We had a month's worth of rain in the space of a couple of days. Zero biking.

Inappropriate footwear this morning!!

Image

It did snow a smidge over night, but seemed to be planning on sun for the day -

Image

Chamonix was gurt lush - sunshine and eating outside!!

Here's hoping that, if Spring is still self isolating, then summer takes a step up and sorts things out!!!

Sure is... which as we're away this weekend for the Portimao replacement, is as good as things are getting at the moment.

Just waiting for the Postie then hitting the lanes on the XSR900.

It's summer that's dragging in getting here, down here.

But I've had a few meals outside now, it's warm enough.

Do you ever actually do any work?

You're always out on the bike or the push iron during traditional working hours!

5:30, fuck that!

Tho it would be nice to have the afternoon off, especially in summer.

It's not deliberate, 7 days a week i'm up and about 5:30-6am... I'd love to sleep more... if i ever get a morning that starts with a 6 i'm quite impressed. It does mean my weekend mornings have been dull with the crap and cold weather, but if they improve now i can be out on the XSR/Bird and home by the time the other 2 in the house even know i'm gone :)
Plus, as i say, it does mean the afternoons i'm pretty much free to do what i like.

So it looks like summer has arrived in the NW, just as I get a phonecall from the dealer to say my bike has a rear brake light fault that they can't sort. Nice. First warm weekend of the year and I don't have the bike to ride.

That's shit new col - but as weeksy says they should sort you out with a loaner if it's still in warranty

(BTW - Didn't realise you were NW - I'm East Lancs / Skipton if you ever fancy a trundle out...)

Been T shirt weather all day today.
I saw a Hare running alongside my van as I was pottering into the junction for work today.
I'd put footage up but I didn't take any with my phone cam, honest occifer.
Then a few hundred yards later a red squirrel.

I've never seen as much wildlife about as there is now, part of this is cos I'm starting work a bit earlier but its more than that, there's just more about.

I'm seeing lots as roadkill/magpie food. Hodgehegs, badgers, pheasants, foxes and so on.

No, as I have my license less than a year I'm not eligible apparently.

June 18th today and although it's sunny,it's still cold. I don't think I've been on more than a couple of runs where I haven't needed heated gear. Grips on 75% and bodywarmer on medium.

Maybe it'll get warm in September!

Dunno mate, it's been glorious down this way until the last 24 hours, the duvet has been lobbed off the bed every night for the last 2 weeks or more. I was sweating just putting my helmet on the other day.
