What have you done today thread?

Post by WelshDragon »

Thought I’d start a thread that has a long life of its own.....

Today I have been mostly watching The Cruel Sea on the tele box whilst drinking tea and passing the time in a chilly south of France......and spending time on this absolutely fabulous new forum! :D
Life’s for living, so let’s get on with it! :P

Mostly sat around nursing a hangover. Too much fun last night - it'll be our last night out for a while I suppose.

Unless you self isolate and have a party on your own.

There's always a party going on in my head. Unfortunately I wasn't invited. :(

She loves the car, that's why i said she can have it, but she said it's too fast and her Mini fits in more parking spaces.

Sat down and wrote out our ATTESTATION DE DÉPLACEMENT DÉROGATOIRE forms so that we can:

a) go out for a bit of exercise from our holiday home, without the fear of getting fined €135!!!
b) hopefully get home to the UK without getting stopped, fined and whatever else the French may throw at us.......

All because the French wouldn’t listen to El President and stop gathering outside in groups, talking and having fun!

Got 3 staff at home now with symptoms pretty much overnight. Woke up to an email this morning telling me so first job is to get whatever vehicles they were driving deep cleaned ASAP.
No managers in this morning so nothing will happen until I get in around 1300!!! Good system!!

How long can the virus survive? Can't you just leave the doors open for a while ?

If I was paying for the clean, yep, doors open and some fabreze mate!!! Sadly, the British taxpayer will have to stump up the cost.
It survives 72 hours but I think that’s a guess.
I guess you’re not allowed out still??

Still on lock down. We've got it easier than most as we've got a big place to mooch about in.

It's around 22c every day. The wind had died down a bit today, so I can do some outside painting.

There's only 4 cases on the island and hopefully the lock down will stop that number rising.

Thinking of the Daughter today.
She has been in Kenya for 2 months doing charity stuff. Her group decided on Monday to bring their travel plans forward. The last of her lot have just left the Hotel leaving her on her own with just the Manager, as all staff have been sent home.
Tonight I shall be digging out a selection of Jack Nicholson films.
Any recommendations ?
