Time penalty seems odd. The week after a rider died and Dorna have rightly marked that, they let a rider put himself in massive danger without pulling him in. Fabio was never gonna stop himself so it's race direction that have to step in. But to then penalise Fabio for imo their own mistake seems perverse and also sets a rule for the future that you can do that and only get 3 secs.

One wonders if someone at the back would have got the same let off. I suspect not and that's what's wrong with it. You can't change rules depending on where someone is in the championship. And given they have let Fabio ride they should penalise themselves not him.

Yeah it's deffo a weird one, you'd assume they get to see the same footage we do and replays etc so would know there's an issue. I honestly wouldn't expect him to pull in... he's a top level racer fighting for a championship, he's never going to pull the plug.

Struggling with Moto2 at the moment though, it's just not the same level of excitement at all is it.

I suspect they had the footage available live from his dash looking at his bare chest. How they let him ride like that for 4 laps or whatever I don't know. Bet you wouldn't last that long on a trackday.

I think perhaps the other riders calling for a second penalty were more focussed on gaining a points advantage than outright concern for poor Fabio's epidermis. ;)

Still at least he knows who they are now.

The wee McPhee just can't catch a break, can he?

It's looking like Remy Gardner has the measure of everyone now. Sam is fast, but crashes,or more steady and not contending for the win.

There is still time for Sam, he just needs to keep chipping away, I hope he gets there.

McPhee, that high side did not look fun did it, poor sod, he was bloody quick all weekend though

64 points behind a consistent Remy , that's a lot of chipping, not to mention Fernandez.
Championship is over for Sam.

Because I enjoy having one to cheer. Massive Marc fan but also wanted Cal to smash it. Plus everyone gets excited about the England football team and they don’t do much, but the bike boys do well.
And why not?
