Steppy 90 stands out as the greatest gamechanger for the most people I reckon.

GPZ600, it sparked the war in the middleweight bike classes that would last decades.

RD350LC was a personal game changer for me, I rode a very well set up one and it was the first bike I ever rode that handled properly, it was a revelation.

I went from an X7 to a 250LC and the LC handled better and was a much higher quality bike, it was only a little quicker than the X7, and the brakes weren't as good, but it was much nicer to ride and massively more reliable.

I've had a few other bikes that were supposed to be big changes but the only other one that got near the LC for feeling considerably better than the previous generation was the 98 R1

I happen to have a C2 not concourse but pretty nice!

I bought my C2 as a write off and fixed it the way I wanted. It had Maxton forks and shock,it handled really well for a big heavy bike. A fine road bike.

I rode my first ZZR1100 (in candy red!! I tells ya,

to the Nurburgring several times and all over europe till I sold it ...to Zanx, then it went through several hands till Pob had it and I believe came a real cropper on it in France. I believe he's doing well now, this latest c2 i have has not had the full hieght carb tops done as far as I know but it rides well and has just got a new MOT. so a new set of carb tops and an extra 25bhp can be had

The first GSXR Suzuki

Everybody else made single headlight bikes with flat or clip ons and we all modified them with twin headlight Crossbow fairings and Tommaselli clip ons then Suzuki brought out the GSXR that looked like an endurance race bike straight from the factory instead of a modified by the customer bike

Trying to fit in, but cant justify it really, the RD Torque Induction air cooled 250 Yamaha as it seems a lot of us are old enough to have had 250 2 strokes on L plates

Surprised no-one's mentioned the Ducati 916 yet. Apart from totally transforming Ducati's fortunes it also brought large capacity V-twins onto Joe Punter's radar and hugely influenced motorcycle styling.

More recently BMW's GS and GSA twins can be considered a game changer, sparking the rise of the Adventure style moto (the two wheel equivalent of the 'Chelsea tractor' i.e. Range Rover if you ask me)

Nah, the Monster saved Ducati. They sold a fuck ton more Monsters than 916's.

I'd say they both did, but at different periods in Ducati's history. Without the 916 there may not have been a Monster, or even Ducati. Fully accept that the Monster saved Ducati's bacon a few years down the line.
