well buggeration. I have a pic of the rezzy (Castaic)

And my bike next to it...

However:
Not taken today so not claiming a win.
Bike & rezzy aren't in the same pic as they were taken at 90deg to each other.
I'm not even sure which one of those ZRX's is my ZRX... but it is in the pic...

It's going to be a race to see who can get to Emley Moor first.

Does it have to be still in use of can it be one that's still up but no longer used?ajlog wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 5:53 pm Draycote Water, reservoir near Rugby.
Next one your bike and a TV transmitter.
Though I quite fancy riding between the 4 local ones, 2 still in use, 2 no longer used.

What kind of muppet rides 20 miles to get a challenge pic only to find out when they get home it is actually a FM and DAB radio mast not a tv transmitter.
It would be a waste not to post the pic anyway.

That’s the one I was hoping for.
I think it has a lift inside and a viewing platform, I’d love to see that.

I think any general tall aerial, metal / concrete tower is acceptable in use or not, TV / Radio, secret signals to our alien overlords all work for me.

We gotta have some rules, this ones yours.inewham wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:04 pm Waltham TV transmitter
I'm happy to go with Gregor's FM mast but since I rode to Walthams on the Wolds just now I thought I'd post it
Despite working there 40 years ago I struggled to find it![]()

There are two now. Our friends live a couple of miles away and both towers are easily visible from their garden. The second one is a metal trellis type affair that was installed via helicopter. That must have been some fancy flying.ajlog wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 8:59 pmKungFooBob wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:19 pm It's going to be a race to see who can get to Emley Moor first.

What do you regard as high elevation?
My bike is at 2450ft sitting in the garage.... but there are roads between here & Big Bear up around 7000ft.. altho the highest near me is a bit under 4000ft

It's a game... if you can look down on shit, it's high... if you look up at stuff, it's not.ZRX61 wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 3:47 am What do you regard as high elevation?

Beachy Head is 500ft ASL but if I ride my bike to the edge I think the Chaplaincy service might get a bit twitchy (that and chalk is a proper southern pansy rock that is really crumbly).
