Out for a pedal to the pub today with lad and met a couple riding these. He showed me all the tricks, twist throttle option with no pedalling. Different speed modes. Will do 30mph. Rear hub motor but looked impressive tbh.

I thought the big fat wheels/tyre's were a bit ott, but they were loving them. I've never seen or heard of them before. Heavy lump but with assist he said it's fine.

Not legal for use on UK roads on several counts, it has a throttle, too powerful and too fast so legally is classed as an electric motorcycle that needs regeresting, insurance, licence, tax etc etc.

There are plenty of fast ebikes available but if you have an accident and someone is hurt then plod will check and prosecute appropriately.

Throttles on ebikes can be legal depending on age but that speed never was.

It's illegal on anything other than private land, but who is going to nick you for riding it, it looks like a pedelec bike.

But the only things I can see illegal about it are the throttle and speed, the throttle I've no problem with, it's actually be pretty useful off road, the speed I do have a minor problem with as it will cause an issue with shared use of rights of way, but there are a lot of derestricted EMTBs about, and it's pretty easy to get a normal bicycle over 16mph.

The police are well aware of unrestricted ebikes and do prosecute, I don't know how successful they are. You'll probably be safe unless there's an accident.

I just found out throttles can be allowed again with type approval as low powered moped for £55, there are other rules and I haven't looked at the details but the same speed limit still applies.

I saw a group of these (or something very similar) riding down the beach last week. My first thought was "sand is NOT going to do that bike any favours".

They do look like they'd be a laugh with a few mates, but to be fair, c90's are a laugh with a few mates !

As for all the legal stuff, well it's only a problem if you get caught!

Anything other than a 250w assisted non throttle speed limited ebike isn’t legal and things like this won’t help for those that use legal ebikes. Something like this would be great for my commute though as it’s 9 miles through woods and trails so no one would see me but it isn’t really right.

Over and above the legality question, the rest of the bike is garbage, cheap spring shock dressed up to look like something decent, 110mm dual crown forks which are more than likely shite, cheap 7speed transmission.

Or to put it another way it's an expensive BSO with a motor

Had a look on Tube vids and I reckon they'd be a great laugh. Not much info about reliability though, still relatively new i think. Can someone buy one and do a review please.

The fork looks like it will spangle going over a speed hump.
