Where I'm working theres currently a lot of tree pollen which I reckon is coming off the Scots pine.Taff wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:42 pm TBH I think it was last year that was messed up, far too warm and dry throughout spring.
That warm weather had a direct knock on effect on nature and it was really noticeable in the honey crop I had in the summer. Because it was so dry throughout spring many of the trees (particularly Lime for me) didn't have the moisture in the ground for them to give up the nectar. Last year was the first time since moving here that I didn't take any honey in summer and I had to feed the bees going into winter to avoid them starving.
so as far as I'm concerned the rain that we have been having this last week is awesome
It was all over my van today.
