Was in a service station behind Adele Silva. She's super cute, met both Pet Shop Boys, Katie Puckrick was a dancer on their tour and she smiled at me. Avril Lavigne gave me a nice smile too when she played Belfast.

Met the singer from Right Said Fred in London, nice chap.

Met Ian Paisley a few times, he was my friend's uncle, and was very nice.

Met loads of NI boxers.

Would have been on speaking terms with most of the UTV news reporters in the 90s

Skub's MP was a teacher in my school and was into bikes. Was always ok to me.

Aha, just remembered another. While me and the missus were doing the VIP thing, a strange looking fella came. He had a pass and we started chatting bikes and racing while he waited to go on stage. Quite a big crowd appeared and I guessed he was famous.

Yes, at one stage in life, I got a lot of enjoyment from watching him clowning around and being pathetic in films. That was his job and he was good at it.

As a teenager with a Saturday job I did photocopying for Anthony Stewart Head around the time he was in Buffy. I had to tell my gran 'Nescafe Gold Blend' for her to know who I was talking about.

Had Clive Mantle stood behind me waiting to board an easyJet flight (he was very tall). Was interviewed by Emma Bunton for a long piece on the radio and have a picture of me with my arm around her (she was very short).

Did a bit of construction work on a house in the Hollywood Hills many years ago. Had two celebrity runs in:

1, While working on a new wall right next to the road I was almost run over by Gates McFadden who played that redhead Doctor in Star Trek NG. Luckily we were only at the footings stage so I was able to step smartly into the trench & avoid being smeared down the side of her car. She had a remarkably manic expression on her face.

2, The woman who owned the house was in the restaurant business & had a French restaurant. She was friends with Julia Roberts who ate at the place all the time. It was a pretty decent job as not only was the home owner paying us, but she'd feed us every night at her restaurant. We'd seen JR in there several times. One night the place is packed, JR shows up & one of the few empty seats was at our table. Business owner directs her to our table (WTF??) She came over & joined us, mentioned we were the only people she knew in the place. We always looked out of place there & that particular day we'd been doing concrete work so looked even scruffier & more out of place than usual.. & now we have JR joining us for dinner at the scruffy peasant table. Reaction from the other people in the restaurant was hilarious.

Went round to Barry Sheens house whenhe lived near Wisbech, I was 14 or 15, knocked on the door and I hears his girlfiend (Steph Mclean ?) swear, but we were invited in (I was with my younger sister) and barry was on a settee in his blue underpants. He got some trouses on and we went outside. Got some Texaco/ Heron Suzuki stickers and took a photo of him with my sister.

SiL used to work at No10, he gave use a guided tour one Saturday, held the Olympic torch and sat in the same seat that Barack Obama had.

Going back to school-days, one of my friends was the son of former Mr Universe, Al Beckles, who I had a chat with about bodybuilding when he was 53, and in incredible shape, although from media reports I'm not so sure he actually was that age....no one seems to know, although it was his son who said his dad was 53 at the time.
