First bouncy bike!
First bouncy bike!
So thanks to a modified cycle scheme at work I decided to get a FS bike. Never owned one before, and the HT is getting on a bit now. So picking this up tomorrow:

I didn't think it was going to happen with stock shortages and general paperwork faff.
Eek!

Re: First bouncy bike!
First ride was a success! Didn't crash and nothing fell off.
It amazing how smooth and comfy it is. Tons more confidence downhill too.
Saddle is a PITA though. Need to have a fiddle with that.

Re: First bouncy bike!
Not sure I have the skills to comment on Fork or Shock
It felt very plush though. Much more speed downhill than previous.
I didn't go far (15mi) as the setup needs fixing, could feel my hamstring complaining.
What kinda tyre pressure do you run for ridgeway stuff? I Kept it low (30) on the HT for comfort, but maybe that's not needed now.

Re: First bouncy bike!
Yeah if tubeless I'm about 28 on mine, 23 on the boys. But speed isn't our ultimate goal.
Re: First bouncy bike!
Well, less fun stuff has started. The saddle was +5 degrees (so nose up). Tried to fix ...
The front bolt/clamp was not tight and basically rounded (prob why it wasn't tight). The rear was cross threaded.
I'm a baboon when it comes to mechanical stuff. But even I don't mess this stuff up
Will phone the shop and have a chat!
