MotoGP/moto2/moto3, Jerez. Moving into the 'normal' stuff now

Post by weeksy »

So we've got this weekend off and then we're back in Jerez. This is the return to the normal Euro stuff and often argued to be the proper start to the season after the weird Qatar. It seems to give more of an indication of how the season will go.

However, as with last season i don't think that's likely to be the case at all, with the season being topsy turvy again.

Will Vinales win, or finish 20th. Will Marquez find that edge after another 2 weeks. Will Miller be fired after Jerez and another disappointing perofrmance. Why does Pettruci even had a ride ? So many questions.

The fantasy league is hotting up, but it's mostly guesswork as to who'll win what at the top class.

I love Jerez as a track though, i've been there for 2 Euro events and really enjoy the place. I can even go all Hodgson and show you a preview. Admittedly this was i think 2005-06. But with our resident rare posting Paulo (rsvman) looking fast and smooth on his old MV1000 i was riding my 2005 R1. Obviously the first lap/2 are warm up laps, we do get a bit faster as the session goes on. I highsided it at one stage, coming onto the back straight on morning 2, i got a bit feisty as the track crests and goes light, i caught a damp patch and it went all wrong... Happily it flipped me off but the bike ended up relatively unscathed and i was out the session after having only lost a padock bobbin and a few other things we wangled straight.

Jerez is a fantastic circuit think I've been 8 times and I should have been there again in May, but not happening. Maybe get back there next year.
It blows my mind how Gp/wsb get round there so fast.

looking forward to see, hoping Marc is back at the Sharpe end (his Sharpe end, not every one elses)
Hoping Fabio can carry his momentum forward, wonder if we might see some battles with the two of them, that will test Fabio's mental strength.

spent a little while on twitter last night ready Simon Patterson getting a little battering about Rossi and the blood money he's taking

Yeah i could do, but mornings are mostly babble anyway... I'm not actually sure if the TV would do Bluetooth to the headphones anyhow in honesty.

I've got a 5 metre cable so can have great sound through my posh headphones late at night.

Maybe they're a bit skint and trying to save on petrol and tyres.

I'm off to walk the dog now ;)
