Minor maintenance day, it has a small oil catch tank a bit smaller than a Tipex bottle located at the end of a pipe under the engine. It was full so I've emptied it, ZH2 forums say this is normal if the oil level is at the top end of the oil capacity.

Send it to me right away and I'll take care of it properly.

After empirical testing against work colleagues GSX-s1000 tonight, mine is definitely quicker.😂

Out of interest, what was the GSXS like?

I think it'll be too much for the road for me, but damn they are good value.

My work colleague really likes it, a lot of bike for not a lot of money. Does everything he wants and has plenty of power.

New rear shock ordered via @SSR Suspension , should be here in around 5-6 weeks. Top marks to Mark as even though he was out of office till early June on BSB duties he recommended and then sorted out the shock for me.

I’ve gone for a Nitron NTR2

Forks are fine for the time being, it's the rear shock that feels like a dead pig and seems to produce the scary head shake as you transition to relativistic speeds on anything other than a billiard table smooth surface.

Investigated fitting shock today, thought I'd be able to improvise a chocking arrangement but that's a very wobbly no, so ABBA stand on order.

The Abba is a great bit of kit. Get the front lift while you're there, very handy even for cleaning.

Old and new (note photo cropped to remove socks and sandals PPE). A little bit of a faff as exhaust bolts required loosening to allow lower pivot bolt to come out and then rear wheel had to come out to allow bulkier Nitron Shock to go in. Quick bolt check tomorrow and good to go.

Rather boringly I may have a recall looming for an oil pressure relief valve failure issue. There’s been a post on the ZH2 FB owners page with a picture of a recall notice but unfortunately the VIN numbers aren’t clear enough to read.

Ha ha, sorry, shock is lovely. Much more comfy though still needs a bit of dialling in. With the old shock when the TC kicked in with the bike leant over they would be a definite unload/step out as it was happening, all that happens now is the TC light flashes at me to let me know it’s working and bike just carries on accelerating out of the corner smoothly.

Not that it needs anymore power but the ECU has finally been cracked.

Now that you mention it:

And according to some one on the owners forum it’s a well made bit of kit.
