He's timmy. S1000RR, assuming he still has a motorbike. Funnily, first time we met him he was a proper man sized man.... we then saw him again at Pembrey and he'd dumped half his bodyweight LOL. Not surprising now i guess when you see how many miles he does, but was a radical transformation. I can never work out how he finds so much time, my missus would divorce me if i rode that much.

Speaking of which, as some may have noticed, i'm out of the game currently, had a minor bit of surgery last Fri, so been off the bike since then and waiting for recovery, hopefully be indoors by Mon/Tue and then outdoors by next weekend. But it's killing me being 100% off the bike that's for sure.

27 miles and nearly 4000ft of climbing today (on Mrs M's Ebike), was great fun once I'd worked out how to ride it properly compared to the Curtis (think sledgehammer compared to scapel). I was told to take her bike to "punish" our mate who I was meeting as he'd suggested I poke her swollen broken elbow to see how sore it was earlier in the week. By the end of the ride I think he regretted it😂.

You're getting some great miles in that's for sure ! Must be time to start driving to Wales or somewhere for some quiet and hilly lanes ?

trying to, id like to get more in but I try to run twice a week as well, I want to do Wales but its just organising my mates at the same time.

Currently planning a trip to Brighton and back, just trying to convince my mate to do it, he's not convinced, happy to go there but not too sure about coming back. it would be about 160km odd. the longest ride ive done was to peaslake and back, 131km in the winter, fun but bloody cold.

did some hills today, climbed 617m over 25km. tough but fun

Still easing my way back into it after a bit of knife action from a surgeon. Today was my first time outside in 2 weeks on the bike and it was lovely. Nothing too far but put in 2 techie sections i've ridden hundreds of times.

Section 1 i matched my PR
Section 2 i was 1s off my PR.

So all in all, not too bad at all. I know where i need to work on both sections to improve, whether i can do that or not, i don't know yet :D

Grabbed the Ebike from the spare garage today. Believe it or not i'm doing an ebike ride next month. Not my preference of course, but the boys i'm riding with are doing the Peaks and all on Ebikes. With all the best intentions in the world, when everyone else is on an ebike, a manual bike simply cannot compete, especially with a fair bit of climbing like in the Peaks.
So set the suspension, fitted the dropper post, bled the brakes, aligned the calipers, gave it a clean and a wipe down and a basic once over to make sure it's happy. It's now on charge and i'll ride it around the close to make sure it's all good.

the Downs and tracks around Steyning are running really well - dry and dusty, which is nice.
And best of all as the shops are open, nobody is using the area any more ....

nothing exciting today but I had to go into work so did 11km in and then did some laps round Regents park (inner and outer circle) so ended on 50km, trying to do the 800km in a month strava challenge, currently 230km to go.

The inner circle has loads of tyre marks all over the road, looks great for hooning around.

Internet died at home today so went out for a solo ride, which is something i don't do nearly as much these days. Yesterday was in the woods jumping (or not, or badly) in the woods with the boy, but today was wheels down countryside cruising :)
