Silverstone 18th July
As most know, all Silverstones trackdays now are booked directly through themselves.
They're more expensive, but smaller groups and very very well organised.
Second up we have

I'm also booked on this now to make up for not being at Morzine.

Re: Silverstone 29th July
Pablo informs me this is potentially going to be canned due to F1 being moved to back to back events and taking in this date too so i think we'll end up on the 7th July potentially. Mrs Weeksy is taking care of the logistics from our side but response has been OK from them up to now. Our biggest discussion currently lies around being able to take our boy as our pit-crew as we can't really leave him with anyone at the moment, so we're a bit up in the air.
I'll update you as soon as have anything useful.

Re: Silverstone 29th July
This has been rescheduled to the 18th July, Saturday if anyone else fancies it... It's not on their website as they're using the rescheduled spaces, but should appear in a couple of days time so they say.
A weekend day at Silverstone GP, can't argue with that now can you

I made the assumption the survey email meant "if you click this, you're in..." But i get your point... Their comms has been absolutely garbage for ages now, so not sure yet.

Re: Silverstone 18th July
Hahaha, with a bit of luck we'll end up in the same group and you can spend a few corners behind me before passing so you get to see it in some way
Obviously to a great extent i'm more there for the wife than for me, but i'll certainly be putting in as much track time as i can on Sat and playing.

Re: Silverstone 18th July
Right then, tips for scuppering Mrs Weeksys chances tomorrow. I've fitted a 32T front sprocket so she'll have a 2000mph top end, but will take 27 miles and a fortnight to get to it.
I've put a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge to finish her off tonight and i think a good take away curry should see me right !!!

Turn 1 pad per caliper around.weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:08 pm Right then, tips for scuppering Mrs Weeksys chances tomorrow. I've fitted a 32T front sprocket so she'll have a 2000mph top end, but will take 27 miles and a fortnight to get to it.

Bonus of making the pads last longer.......well half of them anyway!

Lol good plan, although I was debating similar on the xsr as to running 1 brembo pad and 1 standard each sideIOU0 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 8:12 pmTurn 1 pad per caliper around.weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:08 pm Right then, tips for scuppering Mrs Weeksys chances tomorrow. Great pics. Can I add a comment? The missus looks far more relaxed, with loose arms. You look a bit tense. Loose arms are the key to going fast.weeksy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 12:51 pm 2020-07-19_03-02-43 by Steve Weeks, on Flickr

Sorry if I'm wrong. I was guilty of same thing when over on Gran Canaria with boys last weekend. I forgot the golden rule and wasted a whole day. More grip with legs. The arms just steer.

Re: Silverstone 18th July
Of course you can comment, i wouldn't put them up without expecting comments of some description. In all honesty, i don't know if that's just how i ride, the wide bars on the bike and me muscling it round, or whether i am tense... i don't 'feel' tense to me, either on the bike or off it etc.. But i'll see if i can check next time out.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:01 pm Great pics. Can I add a comment? The missus looks far more relaxed, with loose arms. You look a bit tense.
