That's an honourable thing, in normal conditions. Not quite an essential journey nowadays and doubt coppers would have been too impressed.
Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
As per current English and Welsh COVID restrictions - you are allowed to attend a funeral as long as you are invited by the family - which we were. Same applies for overnight accommodation. I spoke to South Wales police and South Yorkshire beforehand and explained the situation and that we'd travel by motorway, not fly colours and they said as long as we carried paperwork we'd be OK. There are no current restrictions on the distance required for this situation.
The only other restriction is on the number of people allowed ''in'' for the service and that's down to individual Crem's. We stood outside and followed it on the internet link.
Alas I'm sure the same could not be said for the traffic jams on the return legs - A1M Leeds / Doncaster and NEC M42....

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Two fucking morons PARKED on the freeway. Guy in the #3 lane got a flat & lacked sufficient clearance to make it to the shoulder, no idea why the other idiot parked in the #4 lane. Luckily the guy in the Toyota to my left clued in pretty quick & moved over to the #1 lane so I could get over into the #2 lane.
Good thing I was merely in "making good progress" mode & not *Warp Factor Stupid" mode as I had it all a bit sideways getting whoa'd up.

Don't suppose the flat's anything to do with the car being slammed? Darwin again.
And you must number your lanes the opposite way round to us....

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Fun packed day today ....Eldest rang to say he had locked his keys in car and could i get spare fob from his house and drop it off to him. Jumped on the Ducati and rescued him then rode into work to do some admin prior to re opening next week then pick up a couple of the 125's that had been dropped off last week in the van for MOT. Van is off the road today with a blocked injector so had to ride the bikes. Got the first one back to base no problems and then boss ran me over to get the second one. Barely any fuel in it and already on reserve but thought i would get to petrol station less than 1KM away ....... oops. Stopped after 500m, got going again by getting enough in carb to run and stopped 300m later. Got going again and freewheeled onto forecourt with the clutch in
Once the little bugger was full of fuel had a good laugh on it keeping it pinned and being laughed at by my boss in her car behind with the cornering efforts to keep the speed going.
Missus then calls from dentist saying she cant drive home so i ride there, leave the Ducati in the car park and drive her car home. When i get home the youngest then calls and says he has lost his car key and can i take him a spare fob. Perfect opportunity to then get the Fazer out and on the way back from his work pop into another supermarket
Eldest returns the favour by picking me up in his car and dropping me off at the Ducati. By the time everyone was home and all the vehicles returned home it was almost 7pm and dark ....... Almost like normal riding 4 different bikes a day

I'm liking the image of learning to ride a motorcycle beside a lottery sign.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I would have had a great pic if I hadn't forgotten to turn the camera on for part of yesterdays ride. Was lane splitting up the carpool lane approaching the 5-14 split & noticed some bloke with his head out the passenger window of an F Series. As I got to within maybe 30ft I saw he was barely awake & had puked all down the side of the truck. He didn't even notice me until I was RIGHT THERE passing him & even then his eyes were just rolling around unfocused.

Dusted off the street triple today. Managed to clock about 100 miles,
North london to Epsom race course to Goodwood to Box hill to home
Great to be out, ever so slightly chilly but great fun

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I went to my work unit today and while the boss was sorting out admin shit and fielding call after call about "when can i do my CBT/Bike test ASAP" i set about the "little bike" fleet prior to our return to CBT training on Monday.
All the mopeds and 125's out, chains adjusted/lubed. Oil checks and brakes. All lights and electrics checked, Tyre pressures. All fuelled up and all ridden for a few laps each to make sure everything is as it should be.

Found this today. Probably the last time I ever rode. The sign was a tad prophetic!
