Games/consoles/arcades of your youth?
What wasted the most of your life back in the day?
Football manager was deffo one.
Sensible Soccer was a major obsession
Gauntlet arcade version deserves a massive shout
Yie ar Kung Fu
The hours we spent in games shops, looking at titles and mags instead of being at school.
But the winner overall for me was the UFO/XCOM series.

This last week I've mostly playing the Gameboy version of Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening. I've completed it for the 2nd time in my life, about 30 years after I first completed it.
I've got a Gameboy emulator on a PSP and it works really well.

Arcade:
Street Fighter/ Street Fighter 2
Championship Sprint ( 3 steering wheel racing game)
Altered Beasts
Mortal Kombat
PC
Ikari Warriors
Duke Nukem
Half Life
Half Life 2
Team Fortress Classic
Counter Strike
Console
GoldenEye
Fallout 3 and 4
Overwatch
Rainbow Six Seige
COD
Loads I’ve forgotten - but the above were/are the games I’ve spent most playing. Team Fortress Classic probably the most- European champ x2 ( in a clan).
Nowadays it’s PS4 ( soon to be 5 ) and the kids are of an age now where we can multiplayer.

The placement students at our place love em....weirdly though they love watching YouTube vids of other people paying them more. I suppose its just like watching any sport though.
The thing which seems even odder to me is watching a "movie cut" of the main story of a game. So an hour or so long edited spectator playthrough of a game. Most of them just watch a video of the main plot then just play the online multiplayer bit.

Re: Games/consoles/arcades of your youth?
OMG I'm feeling my age here. Late 70s we booked time on the University mainframe to play a game where you piloted a helicopter through an increasingly convoluted cave. In the pub the best they had was Pong. Then Space Invaders, then Asteroids Frogger Galaxians. The quantum leap was 1993 and Doom and the dawn of multiplayer gaming.
If I had all the hours I've wasted on computer gaming, I'd waste them on computer gaming

I didn't have consoles or a computer as a kid, but when the PlayStation came out in my late teens I was all over it lol
Had an N64 too, some brilliant games on that.
I found my battlefield 2 disc recently and tried it on my (W10) laptop.. crashed it, twice. Anyone know how I can run it? (Was designed for XP)
