That's how I remember my last one. I'm still going cheap but cheap oil filled ones aren't a lot more and I'll put up with the slight inconvenience if it keeps my neighbours happy.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a flexible cystoscopy. Which was nice!!!!!
Then had afternoon tea in the garden with the girlfriend, which was nice.
Just had a lovely chilli and wine to help me chill.
Tomorrow I get to wash and polish 3 cars.

Attended an online conference. Was good, but hard going being on a screen all day.
Received email from our solicitors, all bang on with the house sale, everything has gone through smoothly and monies will get to our account on Friday, so we can go house hunting with cash in hand for a whopping deposit. Manchester anyone?
Large veggie pizza for dinner and now I am replete!

Re: What have you done today thread?
I had to make a trip down to Toolstation today for click and collect as they don't deliver 3m long sections of trunking. Decided to check the compressor first, I had bought a compressor, hose and 68 piece air tool kit but of course I was still missing an essential part to make any of it work.
Dunno if I was just lucky when I last bought one twenty years ago but I didn't realise how fiddly connecting all the bits was. There are different types of quick connectors that look almost the same, I don't know if mine are all the same type but they don't fly off or leak loads of air so it's close enough. Even connectors in the kit don't seem to fit each other very well.
Apart from that I got half my power sockets done, just need to take some rubbish down the tip tomorrow so I can reach the consumer unit and wire it all in.
The man cave is almost ready, the first one I've ever had that isn't full to bursting with crap. I'll have a clear workbench with power and USB sockets, lights in the right places and a big Bluetooth speaker for my 80s dance hits.

I finally made it to the Chinese shop in Albertville. It's TINY. But it had everything on my list
Having dropped stuff off to people on the way there and on the way back and almost completed the rest of the shopping list in the big Casino (not the fun one!) before the Chinese, I'm bloody knackered!! LOL
Gonna have to ask some friends to pick up some beansprouts tomorrow as I know they are going to the valley then I can get prepping for Saturday

Dropped wife off at school, came home and found that I needed to be down at the bike service place at 9am not 9.30. Ah well, that is why I have a K1200R. Got there at 9.05 as he was opening up. Was loaned a nice GS1150 (2002 model with 110K on the clocks) for the ride home. Lovely riding position, laid back and relaxed power and handles surprisingly well. Easy to push around corners and vibey! My hands were tingling after my 35mile ride. Hmmm. I'd have one if it was vibe free. Now I wait for all that lovely money from the house sale to reach our account today!

Round 2 on the tooth of doom! Temporary filling removed and after much filing, tugging and manhandling the last of the old plug came out. Tooth filled with bleach and then flushed out before being filled with an alkaline compound to finish off any remaining infection. Hopefully replugged and finished off in 4 weeks time after inflammation has settled. The longer plug below is the tooth being worked on, the slight shadow at its base of the root is the inflamed bit gum/root base that caused the pain which was 5mm wide, its like when you get a blood blister under a finger nail that you haven't popped yet for a pain sensation.

*Shudders.
Took me nearly a fortnight before I could eat proper food again after the last pull.

Had a broken jaw once.
Previously I'd said I'd never had a bat I wouldn't have taken for fifty quid. I changed my mind at that point.

I had to recalibrate my brain after not riding 'enthusiasticly' for a while.Skub wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 8:07 pmHe's been rumbled.derek badger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 7:45 pm Went to that there London.

Sounds familiar. It's taking me longer than I'd thought to stop riding a naked like a sportsbike.derek badger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 8:11 pm

Re: What have you done today thread?
Got me some stickers, seemed pretty damn expensive but I was told they'd make my bike easier to start.
Dunnohowthatworks.
Oh and they sent a free lump of CNC'd aluminium with the stickers, which was nice.
