Sometimes. She was more annoyed at Hoover for giving him the ammo.

Two Toolstation orders in two weeks and both missing parts, their warehouse must be rubbish that they can forget to put large items in the post.

Doctor receptionists. If you post on your website that you have completed all group 6 vaccinations don't be surprised if people phone up saying you have missed them out. The people calling also won't be interested that you've already had your jab because you are an important key worker, they also won't be impressed after calling the general enquiries phone number being told they are tying up a line for emergencies.
If you are going tell the world what a great job you have done, please make sure you have done it first.

I've always been really happy at how brilliant trackdays were. People didn't care that I was a girl, they were always helpful and encouraging. Then I went racing with a girls team. I'd never felt unwelcome at track until then, never made to feel stupid or alone. People wonder why I don't join women only stuff!!!!

I grew up around that kind of joke. My Dad stuck and advert from a magazine on a wall (temporarily) at home when I was young, just to wind my Mum up. The advert read "At last someone has designed a turbo for a women". It was an advert for the latest Hoover and he thought that it was hilarious. The point is, it was a joke and I knew it was a joke (by him, shame on Hoover). It doesn't bother me - men making a sexist remark and then running for cover - it's all for fun. Is that wrong? Someone will think so :obscene-birdiedoublered:
I got sent a card by my mum after a lot of chauvinism at the place I worked before I started doing season

Cartoon/pencil drawing of a board-meeting, one woman, the rest men. Comment underneath was -

"Thank you Miss Smith for the suggestion - now, if one of the men would like to make it . . . . . "

(Sad thing was the boss at the company I worked for would actually have said that!!

I went to Mumsnet, I told them they were competitive with each other but they wouldn't admit it to themselves, let alone each other. Therefore, when they get beaten they couldn't deal with it very well because they're not competitive. And, some women are sexist against women. They stopped liking my crochet pictures, even the Venetian Square table runner - which was awesome.

I’ve worked for blokes and women bosses, every.single.damned.one of the female bosses have been utterly dire.

Maybe I have just been unlucky, but bosses should be able to separate PMT and work....from what I have seen, they don’t and there’s more. They have all been very “gossipy”, a very female trait and one I have never seen in a male boss. They are also the least accepting people have home lives and home issues as well as work. The last example I have of this is my missus’ company got taken over by a female. She straight away done away with all the flexible working arrangements and people working from home, even though she does it herself. Her argument, if I don’t need to work from home, nor does anyone else. Then proceeds to work from home more than in the office.

The fact she doesn’t think she needs to have any flexible working arrangements has no bearing whether other people need to, but then after removing it for everyone else, she does it more herself.

There are no doubt good female bosses, but sad to say, I’ve never seen one yet.

Yeah yeah I’m from the 70’s.

It's a narrow strip of fabric that's placed lengthways down the centre of the table, like a tablecloth but narrower. Frequently decorative and placed over a plain table cloth.

See, I spanner my own bikes and know what table runners are. I've never made one, and don't even bother with a table cloth. The table is wipable, I've enough laundry to do without adding more non essentials.

Red Nose Day

Yeah, I will be accused of being a miserable sod, but the whole thing, worthy though it is, is just a fucking cringe-fest. If nothing else it demonstrates how hard it must be to write and perform good comedy as the whole fucking thing is simply leaden and unfunny, with luvvies queuing up to do a sketch with a comedian in a half-baked rehash of a previous sketch.

And don't even get me started on the members of public who sit in a bath of beans for 24 hours. Oh, the hilarity....

A couple things irked me this week

Firstly, social media posts from friends akin to...
I'm seeing a lot of posts that say 'she shouldn't have been walking home alone late at night' but that's not true, she shouldn't of been attacked irrespective of what she was doing.

I mean, it's a fair point, who could argue with that. I'm just really REALLY confused as to where they've seen the post they feel the need to answer. If said offending post was on FB, why are you even friends with someone with such archaic views. If said post wasn't on FB, what's the point in 'replying' to it on FB.

It's just one example of what appears to be a growing trend on all social media platforms of arguing with someone elses posts, but all we see are the obvious wholesome reply. It's starting to feel that No-one is posting the bad shit, it's just the 'repliers' are so desperate for attention/ validation that they are making up stuff just to argue against.

Secondly.
Ordered a small Item off ebay
The following were all emails, but I got SMS duplicates for some of them too!
18th March 9AM "we've got a delivery for you today"
18th March 14:30 "we tried to deliver at 14:20" but you weren't home
18th March 15:45 "your item was delivered, 18th March at 21:21"

Let's just pick at the biggest hole. How on earth can they possibly email me at 15:45 to tell me they've delivered my package over 5 hours later! It just makes the whole system look like complete BS and therefore pointless.

It may need to become the pegging hat for BB.
