What's your tipple currently ?
Topping my day to day list is beers from Badger... I do like a bit of Fursty Ferret i must say, Golden Champion too, a nice bit of Tanglefoot.
Today i just ordered some Rhubarb cider from https://www.tuttsclumpcider.co.uk/ but i also like the ciders in www.pangvalleycider.co.uk, both are very local to me, so nice to give some trade to the locals
I'll have to order some of this for when the Wiltshire crew come over https://www.tuttsclumpcider.co.uk/tutts ... dry-85-abv

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
ISTR a thread a few (maybe more than a few!) years ago when you said you had never had Real Ale and had no intention of starting. So I'm a bit surprised by your choices
I haven't actually had a drink since Christmas I don't think, but when I do drink I like 'craft beer'. As I've said loads of times, I've always liked 'proper' beer and decent craft beer combines all the best traits of real ale with being served chilled. Win win.
Mainstream stuff wise I like almost everything Brew Dog have done, but there're obviously loads and loads now 'cause it's trendy.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Blame GP. All his fault. Along with a few of the Cycling lads we go out with who only buy big pitchers of ale, if you don't like ale, you don't drink... I'm still not a fan of many/some, but some stuff i quite like.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 7:36 am ISTR a thread a few (maybe more than a few!) years ago when you said you had never had Real Ale and had no intention of starting. Still the same, cheap red wine or absinthe. The latter either with water or fizzy wine.

Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by sparkling red wine. They have the slightly sparking stuff in North Italy which I discovered I like, but it was the Australian 'champagne sparkling' which i was taken aback by.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Just had an order from Adnams arrive. The craft beer mixed case
https://www.adnams.co.uk/beer/adnams-ja ... d-case.htm
And some of their Old Ale which I've never had before. Tried it last night. Very dark in colour but not in flavour, I like it. Which is good as I have 12 bottles!

I tend to drink ales in the colder months and cider in the summer.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Rum and coke, preferably Bicardi Spiced or Oakheart and Pepsi Max.
If I'm having a beer from the Perfect Draft machine, I like the leffe la legere, I've just finished a keg of Lowenbrau which was very nice. It's got Hoegaarden in it at the moment, which I'm not that bothered about, but the wife likes it.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
I drink a lot. I suspect I'm a functioning alcoholic. I get through a litre of rum every three days on average. So I drink whichever is on offer in the supermarket.
It's usually Morgans Gold or Bicardi, £15 a litre.
I like Kraken, but in a blind taste test I wouldn't be able to tell in apart from the Liberte they sell in Lidl £5 a bottle cheaper.

Yeah that's a lot of rum! I tend to only drink Fri/Sat nights and even that's hampered by the kids as hangovers ain't fun with kids.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 9:19 am I drink a lot. Hmmm, might have to try that.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
They stopped selling it for years, but it's recently appeared back on the shelves. If you do go looking for rum in Lidl, don't be tempted by the James Cook stuff, it's utter piss.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
I don't mean to turn this into a temperance thread, but that's where I was at a couple of years ago. Man I loved to drink, all day everyday if I could.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 9:19 am I drink a lot. I suspect I'm a functioning alcoholic. My reasons for stopping were family related. I wasn't capable when they needed my help, plus I'm not the sort to have 'a drink',it's the bottle I want, hence being totally dry now. I now know I'm an all or nothing personality.
You'll be a lot younger than me KFB,so you probably can enjoy a few years yet without health/family consequences, but take care man and be aware of not hurting family. Sorry for the preach brother,it's well intended.
A fucking fizzy orange for me please.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Drinking a lot of red wine (a glass a day at least) at the moment, but 'tempering' that by buying relatively nice stuff. (life's too short for crap wine)
Also a bit of rum & coke (dark rum: Pusser's or Stroh)
Gin will probably take over once it gets warmer and we're drinking outside. I like Bombay (I don't care if it's fashionable or not), and the gf's brother's company brought out a small-batch called 'Hyke' last year that is very very nice.

I'm back on Stella, got fed up with some dodgy tasting ales, bit hit and miss. Cider season almost here, but not quite and dry white seems to go down pretty well.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Go to beer is usually Doom Bar or Timmy Taylor’s and scotch is typically Jura or The Balvenie although I have a selection of about 10 single malts in the cabinet at the moment
Re: What's your tipple currently ?
I have a fridge full of 1664. I also have a couple of bottles of Black Sheep, and when pubs were open I would drink whatever bitter they had on tap.
I also have about half a dozen bottles of single malt, including a Penderyn Grand Slam that I'm saving for Saturday night.

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Leffe Blonde or Warsteiner if I fancy a beer, or red wine. My red wine tastes tend to change from time to time, was mainly Rioja last summer / autumn but I seem to like Portugese / Italian at the moment. Must cut down though, according to the bathroom scales ...

Re: What's your tipple currently ?
Currently I favour Jail Ale, from Dartmoor Brewery.
And red wine, mostly Chilean Merlot, or Italian Valpolicella.
