Anyone hoping to get to Spain 2021?
A couple of friends and I are heading on a 11 day tour in the Pyrenees starting on 21 June, cancelled from 2020 and rescheduled for 2021.
We're going to stick on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees and cover just over 1400 miles.
Hope is the operative word here as we are all hoping we don't have to cancel it for another year.
Portsmouth to Bilbao on 21st June, returning Santander to Portsmouth on 3rd July.
Anyone else going to be out that way this year? Any "must do" roads you'd recommend?

I'm set to go to Biarritz again this summer #fingerscrossed ! I don't know much about the roads on that side, but if you're heading to the East, the old road from Le Pethus into France is awesome, if a little busy. Another one to check out is just south of Jonquera (again not on the paige) you go a little way out of town and take a right sign posted Darnius, decent road to cain about on !_AJ_ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 5:22 pm A couple of friends and I are heading on a 11 day tour in the Pyrenees starting on 21 June, cancelled from 2020 and rescheduled for 2021.

I'm presuming you're aware of the N260, it's an awesome road - all of it - but there are options. Whatever you do, make sure you include N260 sections from Sort - Adrall and Queixans - Ribes de Freser for peak awesomeness. And if you've got 11 days, I'd try and work in a lap of the Picos de Europa at the end, which is west of Santander, but only 50 miles or so. The lap is Panes - Riano on the N621, Riano - Cangas D'Onis on the N625 and back to Panes on the AS114. Again, superlative riding roads through astonishing scenery. Highly recommended

Definitely got quite a bit of the N260 in there. I rode it in 2019, loved ever minute of it. I want to put a trip together of the Pico's, possibly in 2022, so I'll definitely keep track of the roads you've mentioned.harum-scarum wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 9:32 pm I'm presuming you're aware of the N260, it's an awesome road - all of it - but there are options. I've got the Santander ferry booked for the 29th June (cancelled from last year.)
We're hoping to go to Portugal, then do the N260 and possibly onto Castellane for a few days.
I dont hold out much hope to be honest.
