Someone may bring it round tonight or tomorrow. It happens a lot round here with misdeliveries from the various carriers.

It's not impossible.
I contacted Adidas, they said "it may be with your neighbour".... "no, the postman has lost it, he's not had it anywhere near my house"...
They replied with "oh, you'll need to contact Royal Mail"
Well fuck me if contacting them isn't next to sodding impossible. Every bloody thing i try doesn't give me a constructive option.

Royal Mail is unlikely to talk to you, most couriers say their contract is with the sender and that's who they will talk to. Adidas sounds like it doesn't care about it's customers.weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 1:37 pmIt's not impossible.

Last week, we had a letter incorrectly delivered here.
I didn't take it around, because it was for someone in Leeds, 200 miles away.
[But 2 minutes on Google Maps etc sorted out the correct postcode]

As I understand it, your part of the transaction is paying for the goods and theirs is supplying them. If they don't supply them, then their in breach of that contract. You have no liabilities here.weeksy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 1:44 pmI guess techincally it's me... but techincally it's also them LOL... i requested an item, postage comes with the transaction.Yambo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 1:38 pmweeksy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 1:37 pm

200 miles? Pfft. I had an Amazon parcel delivered which had attached to it a mangled print of my address label (for a delivery which arrived the following day, so the label must've been reprinted). On the other side was a clear clean address label for a lad in Scotland who wasn't going to get his tin of varnish any day soon.

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
One of my neighbours gave me a London cheesecake yesterday, as they know I like them:
Not wanting to spoil me dinner, I put it in the bread bin for later. Just remembered I had it, so made myself a brew, got said cheesecake out of the bag to discover there was no cheesecake, just the remains of puff pastry, with all the icing and desiccated coconut having been picked off and eaten.
Let me tell you, my friends, the combination of puff pastry with a smidgen of jam in the centre, topped with icing and desiccated coconut topping is a taste sensation. But a square of puff pastry without the topping is just, well...a square of puff pastry, notwithstanding the jam.
I cannot begin to tell you the depth of my disappointment at this moment. I could weep.

Who's the culprit? Missus? Kids?
My missus asks me if I want a cake and then looks me in the eyes as she squashes it in front of me.
Every time for over 20 years now. Hilarity. I just did it to her - she was well cross.

Mrs. Gremlin. Her excuse was that it was her cake and she could do what she wanted with it.....
At this point I should make clear that two London cheesecakes were delivered and I had already eaten one yesterday. However, I do not feel this is mitigation for the heinous act of desecration carried out on this delicious piece of baked confection.

That's in the Dad Repertoire. My dad used to do it, I'm sure I've done it on occasion to my own kids. I noticed that my dad never took the piss out of his grandchildren in the same ways as he did his own children - it must be a granddad thing ....Trinity765 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:35 pm

Pals here reckon Loctite is a must for enduro bikes. Just got a new front sprocket so set off to the shop for some 2701 as the manual recommends.
