My Father-in-Law bought a brand new XJ12. He only put his name down for one to sell it on as they were rumoured to be in demand etc. He got a call saying the Mayor of Southend had to pull out of his intended purchase due to budgets and would he take a Daimler Sovereign v12 at short notice instead! He smoked it around for a few weeks and sold it on for a grand profit!

I've just watched the XJC episode of Wheeler Dealers (on Quest).
They reckoned the 4.2l straight six was betterer.

The V12 XJC Jaguar have in their own heritage fleet is just plain lovely.
It's not a restomod though, just a resto!
