DUCATI STREETFIGHTER V4S (2020 - on) Review

I've only ridden a big naked 3 times, or what is now classed as a big naked anyway.
First was a Tuono V4, which i didn't really bond with at all, with it being too cramped on the legs and a position that i didn't get on with. The other 2 were the MT-10 and the 1290 Superduke. Both of which were bonkers quick.
Even now i ride my XSR900 which is only 120bhp and when you open the throttle the thing takes-off like a scalded cat...
So throwing in an extra 50-60bhp, well, i just can't comprehend it on a naked bike myself.
But anyway....

120 bhp is loads, nearly all big bikes since the mid 90s cut the power in the lower gears by regarding the ignition to make them controllable, up to 100mph an older bike is probably faster if you can stop it spinning or wheelieing

Mine is quite controllable. I love the idea of a super naked.
My current favourite "next bike" is the BMW S1000R but it changes every week. Speed Triple 1200 looks tasty too. I've never really liked the idea of a Superduke, which makes absolutely no fucking sense I freely admit. Really wish Honda would do a proper naked blade rather than a watered down "tuned for more midrange" one.
I've said it before, but my ideal one would be the Energica electric one. Something with double the torque of a V4 Ducati would be a great big naked!

Isn't the CB1000R 140bhp?
You'd need a neck like Mike Tyson to ride at over 150mph on a bike without a fairing.

It was the same on the 98 R1 I had, trying to do 70 in it was harder than doing 120

When I first got my Speed Triple in 2003 I maxed it out at an indicated 140something. Neck muscles weren't an issue cause I had my chin on the tank to do that speed.

The SRADs retarded the ignition in first and second gears, no way of turning it off apart from cutting the pink wire, the 750 was a bit mental in low gears of you gave it the snip.

I had a go on an SRAD race bike after getting used to 200hp bikes, it felt broken and very slow despite putting out 130hp at the back wheel and being on short gearing.
