It's already got a Milenco wheel clamp and the top of the range Vodafone tracker, but the MK7 Transit is so ridiculously easy to steal I thought it could do with even more physical security.

That's the ebay pic, I'd never let Jeanie the LMH get in that condition.
I had one of those for the moho. It's a little bit more peace of mind - just a fecker to move about, fit, and store.
(I'm now trying to remember where I stored it when driving - I think it sat in the passenger footwell as served as a convenient foot rest)

I have an update to my (formerly) pleasing purchase of the Akaso camera for the bike that shit the bed the 3rd time I went to use it, was replaced under warranty, replacement shit the bed, & the replacement was replaced under warranty.
I've now used the 2nd replacement a few times in the car & so far it's still working.

Akaso was a bit miffed about my Amazon review & offered me various gifts to upgrade from 1 star to 5 star...
First they sent me a bluetooth selfie stick/tripod, which I gave to roomie as I don't do *selfies*
& today I received another camera... a quick google shows this to be a $75 value.
It's a DragonTouch Vista 5 & came with another pile of accessories/mounts & 2 batteries etc, but it uses a different battery to the Akaso Brave7 LE (which I now have 6 batteries & 3 chargers for)

So now I can put the Akaso on the front of the bike & the Dragon facing backwards (or on a tank mount pointed at the clocks to provide evidence of what 80 over the limit looks like)

The Dragon doesn't have the "upside down" option which will make using it in the car a PITA.

I got a call from the wife's brother the other day. He works in the local Waitrose.
'You use coffee beans and a grinder, don't you?'. I replied that I did. 'Well, my shop is selling bags of their No. 1 beans for a quid each. Want any?'
Now, much as I love Wratty's beans (no innuendo intended), I can't turn down an offer like that.
'Alright, grab some bags!' I instructed him.

Anyhow, he dropped them round last night. 10 x 1kg bags of coffee beans. :wtf: Turns out that as the cafe is closed, they're long of coffee and needed it gone. Just to put it in perspective, that's two big carrier bags of coffee.

Now I like coffee, but I'm gonna struggle to drink that much, not least as it's coming to its Best Before date, though being vacuum packed, it ain't so much of an issue. I've asked everybody I know if they want any free coffee beans, but I only seem to associate with tea drinkers or pod machine nerds. Gave 2kg to a colleague who was most pleased, but still got a shit load left.

I'm thinking of offering a few bags to my local Turkish restaurant who is selling coffees during the day to keep the wolf from the door. Who knows, he might sort me of a nice takeaway in return..... Quid, quo, pro and all that.

Cheap electric guitars. They should be terrible but they're surprisingly ok.
I assembled one, as a kit, over Christmas really to see how awful it might be and because the length of the Christmas break can be well boring ;)

Yeah the electronics are at the cheap end but I was expecting real out-of-the-cracker quality. These are definitely light years of the cheap stuff you could get in the 80s.

The end result is playable enough, after some fiddling, and I can have some fun making it 'better' without worrying about devaluing it.

I thought it applied for all the coffee you sell. Or has it all been passed by the management? ;)

It'll take a sizeable jiffy bag to post that baby.

Just had the last of your Kevin Kamakaze or whatever it's called. Gotta say, even versus a quid for a kilo of the Waitrose coffee, it's better value.

I literally can't give the Waitrose stuff away....

I reckon it'll not make great coffee anyway.

Very tidy, does it need anything doing to it, or will it just work?

Nice, it'll be one of the things I'll start snouting for when these interesting, challenging and difficult times become boring, simple and easy.

What is it? I was looking at all the positive reviews of Harley Benton's a few months back and remembering just how terrible my first 2 late 70's copies were
To be honest they're all good.

The most surprising, because of the price, is the Harley Benton strat kit https://www.thomann.de/fr/harley_benton ... xPEALw_wcB Now I imagine quality control is a little bit variable at that price, so maybe I was lucky, but as you say the reviews are decent and it's only 55 quid. You can't really even complain about the pickups - they're ok - and the strings are fine for setting up. Hilariously, for one extra quid you can get one (presumably made out of the same parts) that they've finished the body colour on, assembled, and 'set up' for you https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton ... series.htm I only really bought the kit one because of boredom and I wanted something to practice some fret levelling on (yes it did need a few doing) so I wouldn't have to see the mistakes on my vintage Yamaha SG510.

I've also got an HB electro-acoustic https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton ... sce_ns.htm which is stunning and a Squier Afinity Telecaster, also really good value. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Squier was made in the same factory as the HB stuff. None of them are over 200 quid - although to be fair I threw a few quid at the tele because (a) it's worth it (b) I can't stop fiddling with it.
