Is it me or what?
I've noticed of late, that I lose my shit with inanimate objects and talk to them about the various punishments I will summarily rain upon said object if it fails to comply.
The target of my ire is our Dyson. The cable in particular. It winds me up like a top due to it's inordinate memory. The bastard cable catches on everything, has almost no flexibility or give to it. My wife looks on in wonder as I threaten to pull it off the damn Dyson or worse. Then there's the little dog buggy we have for our very old pooch. It's worse than a shopping trolley, unless my wife is the pilot. Same threats of spiteful revenge are spat at it unless it does exactly what I want it to.
Am I some secret psychopath when it comes to such things or is this normal 'bloke' behaviour.
I ask, as I don't think I've ever heard my wife doing the same. Well, unless she loses it with me.
I seem to be doing this a lot these past weeks.

I have never ever kicked thrown pummelled or chucked any inanimate object for defying its natural order of play...
Aaaahh, rumbled. You are not alone.

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Re: Is it me or what?
Familiar territory for sure.
I've chilled a bit in my later years, mostly because I have smashed up so much stuff and every time it costs me money,so I try not to do that now. I still give stuff a regular telling off though.
An internal door offended me years ago,so the sensible thing seemed to be to stick my head through it. The splintered wood left an impression on my head like something out of an atlas.

That about sums it all up. It's not that I think I'm unusual, just that it's gone to the next level. Basil Faulty level....
