It's one of the smaller ferries, the van is more comfortable than the ferry's seats.Treadeager wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 11:54 amGuessing that's the Ferry ? Much nicer view outside if weather is kindly....
One of my more pointless jobs. In an 8 hour day I did about an hour of useful work, and that included the driving. The rest was spent either on the ferry, waiting for the ferry, or waiting for non existent customers to turn up. This was for 6 weeks in the late spring / early summer. Glorious weather and nothing better to do than watch the world go by whilst drinking tea and eating cakes.

Sounds idyllic, the ferry, not so much, cheb wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:08 pmIt's one of the smaller ferries, the van is more comfortable than the ferry's seats.Treadeager wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 11:54 amGuessing that's the Ferry ? Much nicer view outside if weather is kindly....

Don't move to and live on a small island if you don't like ferries

I’m one of those who actually enjoys a ferry journey. That said, I suppose if it was every day, twice a day it may go the other way. Love standing at the rail watching the world go by when I’m not in any hurry to get somewhere.
Must be nice to live on a small island, you’ve been there a while.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Sorry. I mistook that little puddle for an archway. Just like the one near us. I'll take a pic when I cycle past tmrw.
But we do go to that lighthouse often. Take a bbq and beer sometime. Camped there a few nights in the LMH

Yep, we do that, we were there just before the madness took over the world, February I think. We were walking down there most evenings with a bottle of wine before dinner at that row of restaurants and shops near there.
We were hoping to be back around now, but it’s not going to happen!!!

I generally sleep and/or read. I've lived here for over 30 years, it suits me.636mick wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 12:31 pmI’m one of those who actually enjoys a ferry journey.
