Played with the on-board buttons. One said 'optimising' or summat and that took the bassiness off the PR app.

Will try the missus' phone as she has Spotify on hers. Maybe use that for morning walks.
Play much better on her phone from Spotify :) Some songs much better than others.
Much clearer sound, maybe needs more bass. On PR it was very bassy and mushy.

I think they'll be OK and trying to download the Sony app to improve things.

And Mrs Y says they are good and she's a proper musician and singer, so maybe it's me
I was about to give up when I discovered that my phone has a built in graphic equaliser and a setting for each genre of music.
Also different settings to boost different frequencies to suit aging. It suits me best in 30-60 group and makes a difference.

Love the over 60's one: "boost all frequencies". So that's just turning the volume up then :D

I've realised that I don't like a lot of bass. On the telly I've turned the bass off almost, so I can hear the voices in films.
And lots of reviews of the Sony jobbies praise the high bass :(

In all seriousness, I find the bass is the biggest and best difference with these headphones. Not in the sense that it gives you Vauxhall Nova levels of window shaking bass, but that the clarity and crispness of the bass is loads better. It turns the bass guitar into a real instrument with tone and warmth rather than a generic background bass.

Try listening to anything by The Eagles to see what I mean, or Foreplay/Long Time by Boston.

Too much bass just makes me hear a "mush". Just noise.
Now I can hear things clearly.

That's why you have to speak up when talking to old folk.

I say: "Is there someone who looks after you? I SAID IS THERE SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AFTER YOU?"

In fairness, just over thirty sheets and they're warm, fit well, have zip up pockets and when held under a running tap the water just beads off. If I were hiking up Kilimanjaro I might have second thoughts, but for walking the hound through the woods in the pissing rain, they'll do.
I have a jacket from that company, it's a (kinda) knock off of the US military M65 jacket (think Rambo, First Blood movie) except black instead of green:

A Naim Supernate 2 amplifier. His nibs has always wanted a Naim and as money is worth bugger all in the bank these days he thought why not? Sounds bloody lovely. :D

It’s not just your hearing that goes, people don’t speak properly these days. Lots of mumbling and useless fake local accents in TV programmes! We do use subtitles mind you, partly having gotten used to them whilst watching the Scandi noir series, and him indoors has an app for our Yamaha amplifier that he faffs about with to adjust voice volume.

You could get a walking stick with metal badges attached showing which areas of the Yorkshire Dales you've rambled, to go with them.
Mrs Gremlin was complaining about the cold today, whilst out walking. I smugly pointed out my superior technical legwear. I could see the longing in her eyes, so I now know what Valentine's gift to buy.

Imagine that! Matching outerwear! We'll have to get matching bobble hats to complete the look!

Very Howard and Hilda!

I find good leggings with ordinary waterproof walking trousers on top works really well at keeping me warm. It might work for Mrs G too if you can’t get the trousers and over trousers can always be taken off if too warm. :D

Must be quite hard to hear when you're distracted by the strong smell of wee and Werther's Originals. ;)

Kids these days, jumpers for goalposts etc.

Slow riders don't get hearing damage.

Faster you ride, the worse it gets.

In all seriousness I suspect you and Welshy suffer from the same thing - high frequency hearing loss due to age and wind noise (motorcycle wind that is, unless you've got some seriously loud farts ;))

Not being able to hear high frequencies well is the same as hearing bass too much innit?

Yeah yeah, call me sad but I like it.

The model is immaculate but it's a repro box.
