My best result ever!

I think I came 2nd in the Earlystocks 250 championship that year, got a trophy and everything.
Only managed a 5th in championship at Desmo Due...

I didn't crash in a circuit race or a hillclimb (or the practices)

Re: Blow Your Own Trumpet
In 2004 I was racing a 250 with Derby Phoenix, I beat some young kid called Bradley Smith twice. Apparently he went on to do ok but I didn’t take much notice as I’d beaten him

Re: Blow Your Own Trumpet
No racing glory but managed to lap my lardy old ZX9r round Mallory quicker than my boss on his tricked up GSXR1000. This was a apparently a sackable offence

Was £300 and was shite. Constantly blowing up. Even put a rod through barrel and crankcase.
Then 3 month later, got big compo from a bike crash which funded almost new LC350. He bought it new and race prepped it but only 1 race. Got bargain.
Instantly top 5 regular.
Was about £20 entry first pair of races. And £2 per extra pair. Usually got 6 races. But some clubs had more eligible classes and could get 10 races for under £30

Re: Blow Your Own Trumpet
British Enduro probably 89 or 90, on an easy section between wooded sections, look behind see it's Paul Edmondson ( European champion or world champion at the time) thought to myself I'll follow him, not a chance in hell, got to the woods I slowed to enter he stayed on the pegs opened it up and was gone, some people are more naturally gifted than others.

Re: Blow Your Own Trumpet
Desmodue at Mallory, 600 monster, fell off on lap 2 of qually, overconfident on cold tyres in Gerrards (we weren't allowed tyre warmers) so didn't post a time for a grid position. So, 32nd on the grid .... Due to time being short the race was shortened to 8 laps, but got 3rd and closing down on 2nd, was absolutely ace! The bike was held together mainly with duct tape, borrowed leathers as I'd trashed mine, happy days
