Bought from a dealer, but does seem from your pic that they can be purchased and swapped for nice black ones Which is a good thing.Luddite wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 5:06 pmThat looks like a really good find - relatively unmolested.
Did you buy it from the original owner? If so, see if they still have the OE caps, which would have been black. If they haven't got them and it bothers you, a replacement pair would only run you to under £20 e.g.

Alternatively, Rizoma used to do quite a nice crankcase protector, which replaced the original clutch cap. (I don't know if it's still available.)

Yeah perfectly happy with the exhaust. Mrs Weeksy doesn't care about exhaust noise so will be left standard.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 5:29 pm Perfect track machine i reckon, exhaust looks fine aswel.

It's difficult to see from your photos but it looks like those crankcase plugs could be from Yoshimura.
If that's the case, then you should be able to sell them on to someone else, (with less taste than you!), for more than the OE replacements will cost.
I wonder whether the plugs started out bronze or gold and have faded to the orangey colour you see in the pictures, (channeling your inner KTM there!).

Those plugs do look like the yoshi ones. IIRC Suzuki UK did a special offer where you got the yoshi bits for free/discounted for a period, so maybe those ones. Nowt a black rattle can can't fix

Flippin'eck, that MB Superbikes have got more GSXR's than Suzuki!
Do they specialise in them or something?

They always look like they take up a lot of surface area? I assume there is no loss in cooling over it, particularly at the track?

Dunno matey, i only buy it to stop the rad getting battered, even on track you still get damage and IMO the Suzuki radiators are notoriously weak for it.

Well that could have been a lot worse.
When putting the ZX6R into full road trim i noticed the brake guard ! obviously it won't fit the new GSXR750
Quick email to R&G and a phone call with a payment of £8.50, the new fitting parts/kit is on the way here

Kit for the brake guard arrived, so all ready to go on.
Ordered a tank pad, just a gloss black one, nothing too lairy.
Next job is ordering the front pads for it and will debate throwing a set of braided lines at it while it's at MSG Racing for the QS.

Might as well do it as you'll be thinking about it otherwise.

"Even the lies?"
