Overall yes, but it needs a rear mudguard and sidepanels.

Be nice when it's finished.

It looks like an 03/04 Z1000 exhaust cut down.

Not nice especially the back end and exhaust, there is a much nicer one in this months Classic Bike but can't find a picture though. It is by one of the big XT restorers who normally does them back to show room original but has done a flat tracker style on out of bits he had than were no good to make a show room example.

Lol! It kinda reminds me of the "bobtailed" jump bikes from a few years back. I shouldn't like it, but for whatever reason, I do.

Looks like an Airfix kit toy. And why would you power a supermoto with a heavy engine that barely makes 40 bhp?

Because it came in that frame? I'm presuming from the twin carbs and the 630 decal on the tank the engine has been modified.

I'm sure you're right. But I doubt it's made it into a KTM 690-beater. Personally, I think I rather have an original XT500.

I prefer mine, spec was
Tdr front wheel, fzr1000 disc, gsxr11 caliper, ntv600 front master cylinder and somp plumbing pipe cut down to add pteload to the forks
Engine. Srx600 carbs, dynojet kit(no kit was available for the xt) wisco hi comp piston, pod filters, supertrapp exhaust, converted to kick-start, starter motor and all gubbins Inc the bit on the flywheel removed, revved much faster, approx 45bhp at the rear wheel on the dyno after setup
Rear end rebuilt rear wheel with a 3.5x17 wheel(early cbr600 size, used scrub am23's)
Used to dispatch ride it round london, track day it at mallory Park and circuit carole in Paris

I doubt if it makes 40bhp, a standard XT600 is about 25bhp, at best 30, trail bike DRZ400s are noticeably faster.
