On bike Go Pro?
Anyone do this?
I fancy getting one to go on my bikes just for shits and giggles. I'd probably use it for Snowboarding and a few other things too.
Mrs D has a a Hero 8 and its very good, but also too expensive to be strapping to a bike IMO. I was thinking either a Faux Pro, or second hand. I'd be mounting it on at least 2 different bikes, so some kind of universal adaptor kit would be useful.
Has anyone tried the wind sock foam things or similar, how effective are they?

I bought a cheap alternative to go pro and it's pretty decent tbh. £30/40 i think. Apeman 77. There's probably better cheapo's out now. YouTube is your friend.
Here some dodgy footage..

Camera on a bike....
If you're doing something fast and dangerous, it's useful to show people how frickin' awesome you are.
If the Feds confiscate it, you're getting bummed in the prison showers.
If you ride like a granny and you post videos on the internets how how inconsiderate 'Cagers' have cut you up, then you need a slap.

oh, if you wear it on your person, especially stuck to your helmet, then you also need a slap.

I'd never stick one on my helmet (crash helmet that is ) 'cause the risk of injury is too high. I believe that's what happened to Michael Schumacher?

Re: On bike Go Pro?
I got bought a GoPro Hero 8 last year, until I got that, I was using a Muvi veho K2. It was pretty good but as with all cheaper cam's, doesn't have the vibration control of the hero 8, which is amazing.
But for the price, the K2 is good. I still have mine but just don't use it anymore. Should really get round to selling it and all the extras as well.

Re: On bike Go Pro?
I got one called SJ1200 or something similar
Did well enough on the bike on track. Haven’t tried it skiing
But make sure it’s well attached - interesting approaching the gooseneck at Cadwell only to have to duck to avoid the Camera from the guy in front that didn’t have a safety cable!!!

He's also posted videos which provide compelling evidence that it's a shit idea to post videos of yourself riding

Re: On bike Go Pro?
IMHO you're better off with a more dedicated bike system like INNOVV but you can build a gyrcocam mount like these guys pegdownracing.com
