speed cam app

I've been trying out the cameralert app from pocket GPS world. it's really good. no routing needed you just open it and leave it running in the background.. then only down spade is when you get into areas where roads cross and there are cameras on both roads for example a bridge going over the north circular it can pick up extra cameras.

I've been using it in conjunction with Kurviger mapping. I'm liking the combo

If you subscribe to the pocket GPS world database then I think you get full access to the app.

Doesn't an app like waze give you camera locations? Both static and mobile? And you get the benefit of routing as well?

yes, but with waze/ Google 1) it needs / uses data 2) you cannot plot interesting routes. 3) you are limited on the number of way points..

I tried using waze just running in the background but unless its routing you it doesn't alert speed cams

I use waze all the time in the cage but when biking I want more flexibility..

Think they aren't legal here I do sometimes see the warning on googlemaps when driving, so the law may have changed
