I'm going to England

Post by Pirahna »

It seemed like a good idea last night after a few glasses of wine. Channel tunnel is booked for the end of July, back early August with a week of camping in between. I'll be on the Super Duke so it could be a two week holiday near a KTM dealer in France waiting for spares, or not visiting anyone because the bikes been stolen. I'm going to leave three days to ride from my house in Alicante so a campsite somewhere near the tunnel, with the train on day 4. Campsite in England is booked, I'm looking forward to it.

Make sure you pack a decent lock and preferably a big chain. England is full of scroats.

It's now 20:17 and I'm off in the morning for an 8 hour ride to a hotel in northern Spain. There's a warning for extreme heat, I'm expecting 45⁰ on the way and I've been in a bar with a couple of mates for the evening. I'm pissed, nothing is packed, and I'm just going to lube the bike chain. Wish me luck. 🤣

Made it to the first nights hotel, 630km today and I'm knackered. Camping for the next two weeks, I think I'll stay here on the way back, it's nice.
