I suspect the riding part of the challenge may not include inside your garage;) & I think ZRX bikes may be in bits:)
What we need is a visit to a local bike meet to check out interesting bikes as cool as ours;)
I say keep the challenge going for a wee while...having said that everyone is going on holiday!!

The ZRX11, ZX11 & GPz11 are intact, it's the '83 GPz750 that's in piecescvilla wrote: Sun Jul 05, 2026 8:33 pm I suspect the riding part of the challenge may not include inside your garage;) & I think ZRX bikes may be in bits

Off Topic, replying to ZRX... spot on, I think you can tell I don't know a Z from a Z unless it's Z green;)
Be great to see it whole once you've rebuilt it!

The paint job will be the last thing, so it's going to look rough for a while.cvilla wrote: Mon Jul 06, 2026 2:20 pm Off Topic, replying to ZRX... spot on, I think you can tell I don't know a Z from a Z unless it's Z green;)

Altho it will have freshly powder coated wheels with new tires & brakes.. so at least that part (& the seat) will look spectacular.

Re: The riding challenge game. Pic of your bike 'somewhere'
As mentioned the boss left me his Ducati to play with.....

I went over to the Mrs' which is a route I've done several times on the KTM duke, but not made it on the SMCR. The route includes the awesome tight twisty road right out of my village, a good section across some open scrubland, some very open A road, a few KM on a motorway and a wee bit of town riding into La Garde itself.
There is nothing the Ducati does better than the KTM !
The Ducati in the wrong shape !
Feet on the pegs, sat at the front of the seat gripping the tank. My knees reach way past the "cut outs" in the tank. To put my knees in the cutout, I have to sit all the way back up the seat, which might be ok, but now my feet are really far forward and I'm putting even more weight on my wrists, but the handle bars look spindly as fuck, that pales into insignificance after a few minutes when you realise that they've tried to use the wrist position for clip ons, on wide bars. It just doesn't work.
It revs and revs and has power all the time, but it has no punch, no where in the rev range is a bump, so it feels slow!
In fairness it probably goes faster top speed than the KTM but They both did 130km + when I wanted to, plus I was wearing a MX helmet, so anything over 140 is and the peak starts to catch too much wind.
But still....
A free bike is a free bike and my KTM is having a clutch fitted so I was very grateful to have the Ducati as an option !
Oh yeah, riding game challenge thingy....
Your bike with a boat.....
Re: The riding challenge game. Pic of your bike 'somewhere'
Nice, gave me the reason to head for twisties near Vila de Cruces and cross a reservoir with a little ferry, only for the fun of taking pic.The captain seemed used to it..
Keep the challenge going with your bike with a boat, not in a boat
