Superbike Factory!

Post by mboy »

Today's news...

You reap what you sew I guess!

Thoughts with the staff that were just there for a paycheque, but another shitshow of a used bike dealer gone into administration! Oh well...

I only ever went into the Bristol shop once and was very unimpressed, dirty bikes crammed in so that you can't really see them.

Unfortunately this means that there's even less choice of places to buy bikes from.

Did they just get a bit greedy ? Seemed to be taking over the uk. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I've only been to the Macclesfield one, just to look and sit on. Too many phone desks for my liking.

Yeah I guess you could put it like that... Mostly selling totally unroadworthy bikes to people who need credit, but can't get credit through the usual routes, so sign up on a 35%+ APR finance deal with SBF on a bike that needs £thousands spending on it to put it right...

This gives what seems to be a reasonably well-balanced view of what caused SBF's downfall...

Only been to the Milton Keynes one, similar experience. Bikes looked to be in whatever condition they come through the door in. If that's filthy, then that's how they are left. Out of probably a couple of hundred bikes there were maybe a handful I'd consider showroom condition. I noticed the APR Mboy mentioned, you'd have to be mad or desperate to finance from them and judging by what's sent them under, that's where they made their money on the backhanders for the finance.

And the potential for likely compensation payments?
