Friday Fred?

Post by Taipan »

My weekend is bog based. :? :D Bowel screening tomorrow, so various jollops being dunk later and many rushes for the bog is expected!

After the dead is done tomorrow and i'm back home, my sister and her other half are coming over to sort out Animal Health certificate stuff for our dogs for when we all go to Spain in August.

Sunday I have to sparkle up the Tesla as I have a very keen man coming on Monday to view it. If I get time, I have to install a Ring alarm system for dead f-i-l's other half. She feels a bit vulnerable in her bungalow, so with a few cameras and alarms, including panic alarm option, she will hopefully feel more secure.

I shall watch Engerland muller Mexico in the early hours too!

What you lot up to?

Friday, Dog walk, trip to the dump, watching the F1 and then an MTB ride.
Sat and Sun, 2 x 12hr days at work, currently wondering how much of a car crash our Trainee will make of it. Going on this weeks current level of Emergency Switch Offs for troubled people/dickheads visiting my railway it could be very busy.☹️🤬

Freudian slip?

The weekend will see me up a ladder replacing the summerhouse roof shingles. Got a few bit of timber to replace as expected, but shouldn't be too difficult. If I recall we're at friends on Saturday night as it's their 30th anniversary.

More summerhouse renovation on Sunday, I suspect.

Getting everything ready for my trip to Spain on Wednesday.

Looking at the forecast, I think I might need a new vented jacket and gloves.

Meh. A* flip-flops will see you right. ;)

(Anybody watch 24h in A+E earlier in the week? Bloke comes off the back of his mate's bike at 100+ with just a t-shirt and jeans on. Wasn't pretty :o )

Last day at work today, so trying to offload stuff from desk onto someone else’s, 3 or 4 tasks to complete before 5pm. Tonight, iron and pack my clothes without the dog realising I’m packing his stuff up for a week away as he’ll get overly excited and want to get in the car to go ‘somewhere’

Dog walking duty x 3 as I’ve got one daughter’s dog here to stay while both daughters are at the Pitbull gig in Leeds, once I’ve walked mine and the guest dog, I’ve got to go to other daughter’s house to walk her dog. Once the daughters return, I’ll be handing dog duties over, loading my car up and heading to a mate’s new home to unload the first couple of car and van loads, helping build beds and wardrobes, then staying the night, drinking their beer.

Sunday, more lifting, shifting, carrying and building before heading to Kendall to stay in a pub for the next six nights, the pub has already warned me they are showing the match so I’ll be buying some earplugs…

Monday, day one of building my kayak.

Tuesday through Friday - continue building my kayak

Saturday, either strap my kayak or firewood to the roof bars on the car and head home. BBQ at daughter’s home for her other half’s birthday, pick up dog then home.

I’ll try and get lots of photos of the boat build and share them once I get back & organised.

Is it Friday again??

I've had a week of appointments so walked a LOT this week!

Today I went to resort to catch up with some friends, had lunch there, physio this afternoon (he's great and has helped me try to regain my positivity about the shit-show that is my knee!), this evening, not much!! As a result of the burger and chips for lunch, I am struggling at the thought of eating this evening

Tomorrow - offered to do brunch for a couple of french mates, well, a late Full English Breakfast   Hopefully it won't be too hot. Then as little as I can get away with - although a lot of crochet to finish a couple of little pressies for my mates' new baby :)

Sunday - Heading up to resort to meet a mate and hopefully the new baby (guess that will depend on sleep schedule!!). Back down for a siesta as I've agreed to meet up in resort with some mates to watch the football at one of their places   :lol

Monday - late start and then physio !!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

End of our Alps tour this weekend - it's gone so fast! 😭

Friday was heading up through the black forest and along the German/French border to somewhere along the Mosel.

Today is Germany > Luxembourg > Belgium > France

Sunday is the chunnel and a slog across the UK to get back home

Two of the lads this week have been rocking mesh jackets. 100% worth it!
