Re: utterly random picture thread.
Sister-in-law was dog sitting this weekend just gone. I'd ordered some new clippers for the hound. As it was going to be hot, I suggested s-i-l might want to trim the dog when out walking.
Let's just say that if Schindler's List had been auditioning for a Border Collie, she would have got the role.
I asked what number guard she'd fitted to the clippers.
'Guard? Were there guards in the box!?'.
Still, it'll grow back. Above is the scene of the crime.

Don't take your dog out at midday!
Keep them in the shade!!
They suffer in the heat!!!
Clearly my twat-hound never got the memo....

The vets over here advise against trimming. The fur insulates them from the heat.gremlin wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 1:14 pm IMG-20260622-WA0011.jpeg

Interesting. We were going to get our dogs trimmed before going to Spain but perhaps not then!Yorick wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 4:48 pmThe vets over here advise against trimming. The fur insulates them from the heat.gremlin wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2026 1:14 pm IMG-20260622-WA0011.jpeg

Do what the local Chavs do to their kids before taking them to Spain and get the dogs matching tram lines and a top knots.Taipan wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2026 9:10 am
