Tbh, i was surprised they ran as soon as you opened the door, did they think you wouldn't hear them or summot. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's a sad state of affairs if we cannot defend what is ours, within our own space.

The roots of it is, our deterents and punishments haven't kept pace with the changes in crimes and these arseholes don't careless whether they get caught or not. It's a proper shot show for sure. 👎

We all pay plenty of tax, it's just not spent in the right places.

Pay more tax. It's that simple. Law enforcement costs a stupid amount of money, and there is never enough in the coffers.

By the way - is the bike under a cover? (sounds like a daft thing to say, but I can't remember your situation).

Generally speaking, the harder you make it for them to see the bike, access to the bike, or move the bike: the more likely it is that they'll go for the next one on the list.

Might be an idea to take a stroll around the neighbourhood and see what other people are doing for their bike security?
I doubt many have bikes on show. Its fucking bonkers to do so

I owned a motorbike outside many years ago, but I wouldn't consider it now

Hook either side of the gate about 4in off the ground, length of bowden cable between the two, small loop at each end of the cable to drop over the hooks... ;)

You just have to remember to remove it every morning & install it every night... & remove it before the ambulance & cops show up to retrieve the unconscious clumsy cunt laying there who apparently tripped over his own feet .. :shhh:

Some people seem to think I value my bikes & tools etc as worth more than some scrotes life. That's not it at all, THEY value their life less than a 10mm socket...

Simple fact is, if I hadn't put a stop to their attempt, they would have continued and had my bike away. Now I know they come armed, if they come back, I have to go out withs some sort of bat or suchlike to be able defend myself. I really shouldn't have to be put in that position.
It might be worth getting in touch with your PCC and asking if they are aware the force are distorting crime reporting by mislabelling vehicle theft.
I doubt 'interference' was an accidental mistake, being exposed for deceiving the public may get them moving. Then again I'd rather not have anything to do with the police, they aren't good people.
