BMW R1200RT LT Fully loaded

Post by Jameschu »

Hey all,
I know it's cheeky to join a forum and post a sales ad as the first post but I promise I'll be hanging around with my other bikes to chat ^_^.

So I know fully loaded tourers are a niche thing but figured I'd post it here in case anyone's interested :)
Got a 2016 R1200RT LT Lux with all the optional extras apart from the radio/sound system at 46k miles that I'm reluctantly having to let go as I just can't justify keeping her as well as the others so want her to go to a good home while I keep the Hornet 900 as my daily runner and an ER5 for emergency backup XD.

She's in good condition for her age, FSH, just had her 46k mile service inlcuding a chasis service and independent vehicle inspection.

Comes with Keyless ride, Full luggage, Hill start assist, ESA, Adjustable touring screen, TPS, Heated seats/grips, Bike tracker, Alarm Imobiliser, Android Carplay Unit powered via GPS mount, Powered wireless charging phone mount with 2 usb ports powered via GPS mount, Aux power socket, Aux fog lights (need replacing), Tank bag, Handlebar mounting point, Comes with Optimate that connects via aux socket so no need to remove battery.

She's located in Horsham UK but I'm happy to deliver within a reasonable distance for the right buyer.

Five bags, as per Autotrader advert.....not that I'm interested, just curious as to what these behemoths sell for.

Makes my Trike look positively svelte...

The luggage (esp. that topbox!) and fairing are what makes it a behemoth really. I've spent some time on a 1200RT and it felt smaller than the 1150 (which I preferred). I had a 1200ST which was a tad nimbler - but it's a relative term. :D

The K1200LT was a definite behemoth though. Fully loaded, 2-up combined with French mountain hairpin bends was, erm, interesting. I think I reshaped a few bits on the underside.

Hired one of them some years back in Italy.

Not saying it was a comfy ol' thing, but the Gremlinette fell asleep on the back. :P

My missus nodded off a few times on tour. I usually noticed as I'd pull up at some point and there'd be a gentle 'clonk' on the back of my helmet as she slowly rolled forward.

(I told her, the first time she went pillion with me, to just act like a sack of spuds...I think she took it to heart). :D

If Grimmers was from Yorkshire, you could have assume it wasn't question, but rather a battle cry.

From Yorkshire - with a detour via Romford market?

Romford?! Norf of the water?! I'd rather watch Tiepin eat a bucket of jellied eels.

Go wash your mouth out with soap, young man. :x
