I dislike football, but raking over why we lost a match 20 years ago is OTT even for a football fan!
Is that the only channel you have?

Maybe get new batteries for the remote 😉

Oh we are up to date now. Bloody emmets and 2nd homers insisted we move up to the 20th Century back in 2003. 21st Century is scheduled for 2099.

The NHS. Specifically, my wife working for them. I cannot believe some of the crap that goes on at our local hospital. If anything breaks, no one knows how to get it repaired or replaced or is bothered.

People get supervisor positions, then leave and reapply for their old role as it's too stressful being a supervisor etc blah.

The hassle we are having trying to change her bank details on the ESR (Electronic Staff Record) beggars belief. They fooked up and (over)paid her with a full time person's salary, but she can't just give it back, it has to be worked out how to do this and 3 months later they still haven't sorted it.

Honestly, it is absolutely incredible, just how badly it runs there, and it looks like my wife is probably going to leave, as its becoming near impossible to just do her job, or get paid properly for it! All she does is (try to) serve evening meals!

What will happen first, they take the money back or the police come knocking because the computer says she stole it?

Nothing would surprise me. She cant give it back, or continue to get paid as no one can change her bank account details.

At the supermarket: people who start unloading their trolley onto the belt when I'm half way through unloading my trolley. Especially when they seem to think I can squeeze half a trolley's worth of stuff onto a couple of feet of conveyor belt. Then they half heartedly move their stuff back a few inches, as if that makes it right. You're not going to get through any faster, you still have to wait for me to finish and pay before it's your turn.
Sometimes I hate people. :angry-cussingblack:

Yes, sometimes. Just because I hate you doesn't mean I hate everybody.

(Nothing personal, I just hate you, OK. :P )

I unpack at the start of the belt. Trolly does not move until empty.

Yup. It's actually pretty annoying to spot what looks like an empty belt, only to arrive and find some old giffer chatting to the person on the till while unloading a skip full of stuff one item at a time at the far end of the belt.

Then, of course, it all accumulates on the collection side and it takes them forever to pack it. (Followed by the pantomime of realising they actually have to pay and attempting to get all techno-capable and find the right loyalty app on the 18 screens of junk on their phone and waving their phone at the scanner trying to use WhatsApp to pay rather than their e-banking app).
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Yesterday I was behind some clueless bitch who had divided all her shopping into three piles, but wanted it all rung up together. Teller gave her the total & then she stood there bagging everything up & putting it back in the cart. After that was all done it suddenly occurred to her than maybe she should pay, I guess she'd never been shopping before. :wtf: So out came two different tax payer funded benefit cards, she paid $100 with one, $65 with the other & the final $30 for the booze with her own money from her ATM card.
While all this was going on her useless teenage offspring just stood there trying to look hard & intimidating, doing fuck all to help. I complimented him on his cute Spongebob T-shirt, at which time I realized the guy behind me in line was another expat when he commented "oh yeah, cute, but well 'ard there Sparky"
