Sadly I’m heading to the eye clinic at the hospital today after an accident at work on Wednesday. I’ll probably make a post about it. Bit gutted as more than likely my vision in my left eye will be gubbed but fingers crossed.
Nowt tomorrow and then Sunday it’s the Gold Cup at work, I’m going to go but not working. I’ll be there just observing. I have a sick line for two weeks.

If it's not cancelled because of the rain, I'm doing the speedway/drift school thingy at Leicester.
If it is cancelled, I'm getting drunk in Leicester. I think it will be too late to cancel the hotel

Good luck with your eye, Wull. My wife had a double retina detachment a few years back and we take our vision for granted.
Today: London for a meeting. Tonight might go to the pub
Saturday: I need to get out for a MTB ride. Probably head to Guildford to see if I can get some suits taken in
Sunday: I have no idea. I’d like a bit of a lie in. There will be a long dog walk at some point. Probably the quietest w/e in years
Have a great weekend all.
Shit, I forgot I’m on a stag do Saturday night. Old age memory

Did a nice job on a jacket. Cost a few £ but gives me another 30 years out of it.
They're not very communicative about when things are ready but it appears that if they say '3 weeks' when you leave stuff, things will be ready in 3 weeks.

My bike needs a wash but I can't see me getting that done before Sunday because of the weather. The weather looks ok SW for Sunday and I am out for a blat with a friend. No plan as yet.

Still not currently in work (gardening leave finish on 12th), waiting to start new employment in a few weeks time.
So, grabbing a cheeky week from tomorrow in Malta. Been there a couple of times but mainly just Valletta....any tips?
Tbh, the wife is excited, but I'm a bit meh about going for some reason? Would have been happy to stay home and not spend so much money. Grumpy old bugger I am
Be alright when I get there, I fucking hate travelling these days, airports and planes etc

Rest days for a change!!
Today, shopping,
Saturday, nothing planned,
Sunday, off to the Banbury Run, never been but always fancied it. Might end up with a 1912 Sunbeam from the auto jumble, if such a thing exists!!
Enjoy, fun etc
Mick

Friday, recovering from 4 night shifts. Taking eldest dog to vets for her anti arthritis jab.
Sat, fitting new BB to road bike after all the special tools arrived. Maybe a MTB, then friends over in the afternoon for a dog walk and Thai meal.
Sunday, dog walk/MTB/shower dodging.

Hey mate. Still unknown on our plans, but Sunday is certainly looking like a plan as the weather looks a little more friendly.Taff wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 10:13 am Fri Pm - Beekeeping and then travelling to Newbury for the weekend

Google co-op in Hermitage, we can meet there (it's about a mile from the showground)

Should be sanding and repairing the back wall of the house ready for painting, but the weather might put the kibosh on that. Shame as we have new patio furniture arriving Monday and it was all supposed to be ready.
Got step f-i-l coming over tomorrow to discuss his ongoing treatment for stage 2 bladder cancer. Its hard work trying to help him tbh, so not looking forward to the next few months of dealing with it.
So pretty boring weekend really, but they do sometimes unexpectedly change to good ones...

Re: FRiday thread... the wet June start...
It's been raining here every day now for over a week and looks set to continue,so no biking in my near future.
I'm still chasing a charging issue on Mr.Blue, plus Motogp is on,so that's the limit of my plans.

Re: FRiday thread... the wet June start...
Friday: 8am, heating engineers to connect up 13 new radiators and to commission the new boiler. Warms up fast! New radiators work nicely.
9am, School Eucharist as usual. Then out to visit a homebound couple, back home to make coffee for the plumbers. Take a call. Back out to do some shopping.
Saturday, Coffee Morning and then out to another church to help them with some IT stuff. Then a lunch.
Sunday: Two services as usual, then relax in the afternoon. No bike riding this weekend as too wet I think.
